As much as BG has on a vision of playing which by his words is passing and playing in the opposition's half, I just cant see this group of players being able to play keep ball. Theres a few good eggs in the team but a lot of rotten ones and it will take 2 windows for home to get the style of players playing that way.

That wouldn't have been allowed by Coughlin, and this appears to be one of the tightest squads we've had, especially in this Internet age when everyone knows if someone farts. we might have a few less gifted players who are unsuited to a fast, on the grass passing game. But rotten eggs? I don't think so.

I have some sympathy with Barton having been sent off twice in three matches versus us. It is clear he prepares well for matches and will have watched many videos of our matches where officials ignore the correct decision and rule in the opposition’s favour and against Rovers. Thus it must be galling for him at the apparent lack of consistency of L1 officials who have chosen matches against his team to make correct decisions in our favour!

Sympathy for Joey Barton? Never in a million years. Charging onto the pitch to confront the referee about a (correct) decision and not letting it go for a good 5mins after, The fool deserves everything he gets.

I suspect we can agree that this current set up (I mean GC tactics & squad really) may take a while to transform, and so it should. BG can hardly do that much wrong really given the league position he's inherited and money from cup games... Unless he tries to change a lot pretty soon, which I think (hope) he won't be.

Certainly need some new faces to progress but to say we have a lot of rotten eggs in the squad is both inaccurate and rather disrespectful of a hardworking squad.
