getting the billy big balls syndrome is he Looked very unfit today as well as stroppy. Normally he wins way over 50% of his headers today I counted two that he won and his hold up play was sloppy too. We need him fit ASAP thought his arse looked fat on Boxing Day |

Good performance particularly given the number of games being played by these lads. Eight out injured puts a lot of pressure on squad. Last count Smith, Little, Hare, TDH, Mathews, Davies, Ollie Clarke plus one other according to eight injuries mention by BG. Who is the eighth player injured? |

Slightly off topic but is the game at MK Dons pay on the day? I’m debating whether to brave the hangover and drive from sunny Dorset but probably won’t make my mind up til last minute? It’s a big old ground isn’t it? Cheers. 30k+ yes it is potd Pompey took 5k today |

Hope I’m wrong Half empty 🥃 Not at all I’m just going on what I see and this squad has punched well above it’s weight this season. I think with the change of manager and style with the ball it’s unlikely that will continue to happen now. I’d love to see us make top six as much as the next Gas head. Perhaps garner can get 3-4 out and 3-4 in over the January window and get his new look squad to gel and settle in quickly but I think it’s more likely that it’ll take longer than that. |

Good players they are and would make a huge difference if they were fit but does anyone feel we ought to ditch players like matthews,little and TDH? As great as they are they are injury prone players and if they cant stay fit then get rid I say. How do you "ditch" a player? I just hope we haven't signed Little on a 2 year contract. |

Not sure. Unless he means a player who is playing is playing with an injury? JCH maybe?
Or Gavin Reilly? We've recalled him from his loan from Cheltenham. Is that because BG wants to see him in action to give him a chance? or is it to cover Smith's injury? Or to let him go permanently in Jan to use his wages to bring in someone else? Or because he is out injured long term - being the 8th injury?
His loan was always up in January, we haven’t recalled him. Didn't know that. Fair enough. Thought it was for the season. |

I don't post too much, as I'm in Oz and don't see many games; I'm too old to stay up through the night. However, the negativity on here is painful. We are in a good position, although much of the football has been pretty poor. GC did well in terms of results, but the team had, and still have, a tendency to pull back into a defensive shape, rather than pressing. In my view, pressing fairly high is the name of the game at this level, particularly if your team defends long balls pretty well. What we have needed, in my view, is a good coach's eye; which is why I think BG is a good appointment. This season now will be decided largely by the dealings in the window; let's hope BG and Widdrington see eye to eye. Personally I'd sell JCH if we could get a million plus, and spend half of the fee on strengthening the team.
Onwards an upwards.

Having seen the disallowed goal from amateur fan footage, directly in line with the crosser of the ball, Madden is a good 2/3 yards offside and attempts to help the ball into the far corner,
As clear an offside as you will ever see. Barton clearly trying to wriggle out of any further punishment by the EFL with that claim.

I just feel that we weren't expecting to be where we are, and we should enjoy the ride while it lasts. If we don't do that then what's there to enjoy in supporting a football team. I agree that we need to freshen things up a bit, but that's always something fans demand, and few signings ever live up to expectations. I'm a lot more positive about our youth setup these days, so we should enjoy the fruits of that, and look at some of those as new signings instead IMO. |
