Davies now out for the season. Garner has said it looks like he will need an operation on his knee problem. Shame as he's looked good the majority of the time, when he's played. I did predict this a while ago. Just seemed typical Rovers to take a ‘wait and see approach’ when it was always likely to need an op. Could have had this done months ago and be ready to return by now. I think it’s important for Little and THD to say fit now to add solidity and experience to the back four with Kilgour alongside Craig in the middle (Unless Harries is looking brilliant in training and U23 games). If its "important little and THD stay fit" then we are in big trouble.

Now I get it. Regardless of the current fit players attributes and general qualities we will continue to play a defensive system that hasn't brought a victory this calendar year. Fine, now I'm beginning to understand the thought processes of a professional football manager. Hmmm.

I actually believe that at least in home matches coughlan's wing backs rodman and leahy were well up the pitch,so for me under garner we have an extra defender.

So I don't think Garner is set on a back 4. Think 3 in the middle work better though and it looks like he wants to play with 2 wide men around JCH.
