THD, Tom Davies and Sam Matthews are all back from their injuries and in full training adding competition again to the squad. Just need to get them up to speed with their match fitness so will see them gradually to begin with.
Tyler Smith however is 3-4 weeks away from returning following his foot injury in training. Apparently kicked an object in frustration and done himself in!
Anssi Jaakkola has had scans done on his injury and the club will know by early next week to determine how long he will be out for, so too early to tell. Alexis is back at the club and is now our back up to JVS.

Good for us fans that we now have a manager that gives us updates. Wonder if he will continue doing it.

Nice one CJ, was about to make a similar thread! Good we’ve got plenty of players returning as we need them. Also superb to have a manager that speaks openly and honestly!

I got to say that I had mixed views with the lack of info on players availability. It's good not to give the opposition any heads up. But it was annoying that we didn't know what was going on with injuries.

That's a good update, thanks. Tyler Smith is hopefully not being paid whilst he is out for his self inflicted act of stupidity.
Hopefully Anssi's injury won't be as bad as feared, and/or his recovery quick

It's just good to know, when player's are going to be back and who will be out. If I was manager I wouldn't say though. As you are giving the team we are going to face a small advantage. Which is why I stuck up for GC as DC in the past. That's why I said better for us fans and not better in general.

Thanks for the update. I expect we’ll see a couple on the bench for the Coventry game and then they’ll get a full run out against Stevenage in the cup.
THD and Davies are big additions and good to have Matthews back into the squad after so long out too.

Matthews interests me. On the face of it (based on nothing really) he seems like a player Garner might like, or look to utilise.
Would certainly give us options in a midfield 3 if we keep the current formation

These 3 players returning, together with a few new signings, should certainly allow BG to try a few different formations.

Isn't Mathews a short arse? Same height as Isco and taller than Salah, Mane, Coutinho, David Silva, Modric etc etc
