In those 8 games we’ve scored 4 goals in which Donny scored 4 in their last visit to the Mem.

Can’t say I’m feeling very confident if I’m honest with you.

This is becoming a vendetta like MidlandGas and Darrell Clarke all over again. Give the bloke a chance, he's only been here five minutes!

Of course you can. It's a mental forum, it's what people do.

But the sensible approach would be to give the bloke until at least the end of the season (it is pretty much a free hit after all) and hopefully until you can at least see where we're going next season. If he's not producing the goods by then, I can understand the view that he's the wrong man. And even then, that wouldn't necessarily mean that the intention of playing good football is wrong, just that he hadn't shown the ability to make it work.

But let's at least give him a chance to implement what has from day one been an appointment very much with the long term in mind.

I’m Expecting us to get completely smashed tomorrow 3 nil maybe 4 nil but as always good form or bad I’m still right up for it and can’t wait.

What Garner says to the press and what he thinks privately are two totally different things. He knows that he’s had a diabolical start and it’s way more than small margins at play. This is where he earns his corn identifying the problems and rectifying them. He badly needs a win and we have to hope he gets it today, for everyone’s sakes.

Funny you mentioned Moyes in a reference to small margins. West Ham lost one-nil tonight, but if that game was in the championship the match officials miss the handball and there is no VAR to put them right...and if that game was in our league or lower, then the quality of the officials means they miss the offside from the set piece and West Ham win two-one away. Same game but three different results in three different leagues. I don’t expect us to deserve a win against Donnie but maybe some of those small margins can work their magic so that we get a favourable result this time round.
