We’ve managed to cling on until half time

Happy days 0-0 at HT. Bring Tommy Nichols on 2nd half and he can help us to a 1-0 win 😉

Took us about 35 minutes to get going, before we finally managed to look a credible footballing team.
Reminds me of the Wimbledon game, except we're Wimbledon in this scenario. Donny with lots of possession and playing well, but no real cutting edge.
Hopefully Garner can have a better HT team talk than he usually does and we'll come out improved.
Defensively we're a mess though, the back 3 look like deer in headlights and they're getting absolutely no support from the midfield

One positive in the 42nd minute we finally had a shot, and if feeling really optimistic possession at half time was up to 36 percent..... onwards and upwards in the second half

Uninspiring but it is still 0-0 Improve 2nd half and we may have a shot on target

We have no one that can tackle and drive forwards! Our back 3 are fine, it’s the midfield that’s lacking.

Well it’s a 9-0-1 formation today and when we win the ball we’re like a veterans side getting out, just jogging up the pitch , nobody wants the ball nobody sprinting in to space nothing. I get the feeling the players have lost faith in this manager already. Obviously we’ll see how they react to Garners rocket because as manager when your side has played so poorly and without any motivation to look for the ball and make things happen that’s what you do. Time to start earning your money Mr Garner and fire these players up.

Anyone thought about what influence this wind may be having on the game? Having played football at a fairly decent level with blustering wind constantly against you, it’s not surprising that the game has been almost completely in our half and we’ve had so little possession..... I expect it to be completely different next half when we have the strong wind in our favour....

Dons have done their homework, realise we try to pass out from the back with little impact, they are playing advanced, shutting our defence down, result being we hit it long and lose possession. Leahy is getting destroyed. But... can't play worse than that, wind behind us 2nd half, let's see what BG can do with his half time talk, all to play for.

Game is passing Hargreaves by... Surely there must be a better option . Just a younger version of Ollie Clarke ! THD on the left of midfield? As its like playing with 10 men at the moment. Barrett not offering anything of note either.

How much of an impact has the wind really had?
Rovers 9/2 to win the game at HT. Which is incredible really considering we’re 0-0 at home against a team below us in the league.

Just caught up with this entry on the BBC Live Text:
Posted at 43' Attempt missed. Jonson Clarke-Harris (Bristol Rovers) right footed shot from outside the box misses to the left. Assisted by Jordi van Stappershoef.
Is this what BG means about playing out from the back?

I would suggest we are not trying very hard.

Must be quite a thing to go from high on confidence playing a simple game plan that they know well to uncertainty and having to decipher words like “periodisation” when they are deciding what to do in a split second on the ball.
