Well it’s a 9-0-1 formation today and when we win the ball we’re like a veterans side getting out, just jogging up the pitch , nobody wants the ball nobody sprinting in to space nothing. I get the feeling the players have lost faith in this manager already. Obviously we’ll see how they react to Garners rocket because as manager when your side has played so poorly and without any motivation to look for the ball and make things happen that’s what you do. Time to start earning your money Mr Garner and fire these players up. I wonder if he’s just confused the f**k out of them? Must be quite a thing to go from high on confidence playing a simple game plan that they know well to uncertainty and having to decipher words like “periodisation” when they are deciding what to do in a split second on the ball. And thats why BG has to take alittle of the blame for results thus far and using the lack of time on the training ground is little excuse for me right now. He took over a side that were 4th and that had a simple,slightly pooring but good game plan and use of there tactics.Ok he may not be the same manager as GC and give the hair dryer treatment out,but he's come in and tried getting our current group of player doing things that they cant do,or at least have not be coached in training to do.These are L1 players here, not Barcelona or Man City ones. Im not saying it wont work long term,but to change a side winning action plan straight away given where we were was the wrong move imho. |
