Good news... Well done Rovers. I sense if he goes well Josh could be made permanent in the summer. More attacking options with the three new guys ... Desperately want that Striker now please! ( Two would be even better) Plus a right back, otherwise it's pointless signing all these wingers!

A lot of a teams energy depends on how they are set up and results. Good results bring more willingness to expend extra energy. The way we set up is all about energy as there is no real pace about the si8de and therefore it depends more on the pattern of the team. We are a team setting up with one up front but without the qualities to play that game as it relies on pace to switch defence to attack and on players being quick enough to support the main striker. it also requires that the striker has a great deal of movement about him if his natural game is to play wider rather than central. With the players we have we need to use less energy by setting up in almost a man for man basis with each players task to pressurise his player rather than the present where we allow the opponents to come at us from deep and all run about like headless chickens trying to get possession which is an impossible task. Our centre halves are being asked to play both as centre halves and full backs and none of them have the quality to be that- Mayonese has the turn of the Titanic and the balance of Bambi. Our two wing backs are both better offensively rather than defensively and the second goal summed up Leahys total lack of any pace as he was ahead of his opponent when the ball was passed. Our midfield has no pace whatsoever. We look like a team with no plan whatsoever since GC has left and in truth Maher is not a potential Manager and sounds so dejected with things that it is hardly inspiring to players. The club itself is poorly run because there is no connection at all between the owner and the fans or the CEO and fans. Those who criticised Hamer have now got their wish and we have Starnes who you rarely hear a birdy from. Supporting the club at the moment is like a chore that has to be done rather than a pleasurable hobby. that should cheer everyone up!!

The Club is pleased to announce the completion of Josh Ginnelly's loan move to Rovers until the end of the 2019/20 season. The left-footed midfielder, who primarily plays on the left flank, came through the youth ranks at Aston Villa before moving to Shrewsbury Town following his release from his first club. www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2020/january/ginnelly-loan-confirmed/Will he be eligible for tomorrow? who are we playing tomorrow?

"It is understood that Bristol Rovers got in touch over the weekend about Ginnelly. The player met with them on Tuesday to discuss the loan and it is hoped the deal can be done today." So our transfer window planning sounds lastminute.com as ever? What does Wriddington actually do all season just keep in touch with his ex-Coventry players? Fingers crossed the club pull this deal off today. That seems like progress Topper, I can remember when it seemed like every player we signed had played for Salisbury

Sssshhh!. We are 'doing a Bolton' and cancelling Saturday and playing tomorrow instead without telling Rotherham.
Who knows we may even register a shot on target.

I was in the park with my daughter earlier and saw three blokes in city shirts playing football with a hedgehog. I was about to ring the RSPCA and the hedgehog scored.

He’s only got one surname so can’t be any good! He changed his name to Gin-Nelly.

Did his dad make icecream in the 80s? No, you're thinking of Dave Supersoftee.

They have been saying he's nearing fitness for weeks now. When he does come back, he seems to play a few games, then get injured again.

I asked Walsall and Lincoln fans their opinions on Ginnelly to which they said:
Lincoln: “I liked him but a typical winger, one good game followed by a few awful ones. Surprised he left Walsall and went to Preston, too big a jump as it's proved.”
Walsall: “Good player we lost him to Preston this time last year was sad to see him go worked well with Leahy here offers a threat going forward but also tracks back a lot and helps out his full back good signing for you mate.”
Sounds pretty positive tbh

They see a player week in week out and so I think its a useful perspective.
