Don’t worry boys GGMI has regurgitated an old thread again for us all to get involved in. Should take our mind off today at least. Right?

Under GC we rode our luck and it had too run out,he’s gone he’s history and BG got to pick up the sh** and start again but unfortunately he’s got family problems which you can’t blame on anyone. The clubs in demise and will take a lot of lifting with the position we are in on the pitch and of it especially with the owners we got. Imo our only hope if new owners come in and are prepared to take a chance on us. Who is going to pay 17 odd million to pay off the debts of a league one club that is currently being run like a pub team? It’s going to take a serious business plan and a serious set of balls to get involved in Rovers. This lot make Higgs seem quite competent because he only ran up a few million’s worth of debt and the club was still an attractive proposition with a stadium plan on the table. What have we got now? No chance of a stadium and nearly 4 times the debt!! And that’s progress, apparently! Your right I’m joining marshy but F##k the Stella Natural dry for me.

He hasn't been in charge this week?? But still calling the shots. What evidence do you have regarding that comment?

We defended better against Peterborough, but overall far from "pretty decent" and not everyone was "waxing lyrical". We were fortunate that they had 7 or 8 players out injured (similar to us recently) and forgot to bring their shooting boots. In general play they completely outplayed us IMHO. It was my first time seeing us in the flesh for a while and I thought we were solid and restricted free scoring Peterborough’s chances. It seemed what I would class as a GC type of performance but I do remember people were waxing lyrical on here because I saw people saying what an improvement it was on GC’s style because it shocked me that what I had just witnessed (whilst decent) was an improvement! By God, I’d kill to see us put in a performance like that now though! I thought Maddison played well between the lines and had a few efforts on goal that on another day would have gone in. Toney should have scored with another effort and not forgetting the rapid sub Jade-Jones should have scored with an opportunity after coming on and ripping Menayese to pieces with his pace and directness.

But still calling the shots. What evidence do you have regarding that comment? Starnes said he’s in contact with Maher every day by phone. I’d be interested to hear where Topper got the info that he met Ginnelli this week too. He seems to be doing everything bar taking training and being there on match days.

But that is not the same as "calling the shots",more likely its just garner being kept in the loop about what maher is doing with the team including injury updates etc.

You can tell those people who have only been watching Rovers for 10 years or so, they want the manager out, the chairman out and anyone else who is connected to the club out. However I have always thought that if you want to change anything, then before you say the word "out" then you should be able to say "in" in the next sentence. Who do you want to take over the club and inject £70 million in to it (and not want any of it back). Who do you want to be manager? Most of you on this board wanted Coughlin out, and yet when he did go, purely for personal reasons he was a "scumbag" and the football was crap, but he took us to 4th. Interestingly I thought the football was ok and was exactly like a lot of other clubs in Division One. However the football was not good enough for a lot of you, and so we welcomed a new "exciting" manager. Now after a few games in and a major family problem its OUT! I despair, not at the club on or off the field, but you, the supporters. A good football team takes 3 years to build, and it starts at the back. Unfortunately we have injuries to our best goalie, our best CH and no recognised RB.
But then none of this matters does it, as I long as I have a keyboard I can say anything I like even if it is something I don't understand myself, (or make up).
Ah well looking forward to August when it is announced on here that the inevitable GOOD NEWS is coming in October

You and others might be happy slagging off garner when he is on compassionate leave but i think its vile and improper.

Where has westwindy or others slagged off Garner? You like to pose questions and criticize others yet you ignore questions put to you. Funny that.

In effect he was supporting your blatant slagging off of garner. You know the bloke given leave for a serious family health issue. So he asked you a question to provide evidence of a statement, which is exactly what you asked. And by asking you that, he’s therefore slagging off Garner? But by that idiotic logic, so are you.. Still ignoring the questions though I see. Where’s the evidence of your claims? Not the sharpest tool in the box, eh?

In effect he was supporting your blatant slagging off of garner. You know the bloke given leave for a serious family health issue. The issue is unlike a normal employee he's not on full leave, he's trying to look after his family whilst also trying to run a football club, you have to admire him for trying but it's simply not working. Something as got to give, either BG returns to coaching full time or he takes a complete break and lets Maher get on and run the team is way. The line up today with Barrett and Reilly playing behind JCH was clearly BG's preferred formation not Maher's. Perhaps another issue is will BG's preferred formation ever work with the present sqaud of players but that's something for hom to wrry about if he ever returns, from Barrett's interview even that might not be certain.

So why imply he is? its disrespectful imo. Your vile sneering comments about garner just because we lost a poxy football match stink frankly.
