How long will the board put up with this? Surely 4 or 5 more displays like this and BG will be kissing goodbye to his managerial career? Yeah I think 4 or 5 is probably max he has left. 6,400 in attendance says what the fans think. When was the last league game we had that low? The conference? Circumstances should and will buy him extra time. If we’re in trouble mid March changes will be needed even if it’s just some help He should, or the club should, find him an experienced assistant.

No mid week games for a while, after the Bolton game. So he will finally get time to work with the squad on the training ground. If we don't see an improvement by then, we will have to have a rethink. Positives from today we're THD played 90 minutes. Kilgour looked good at right back and did better with the ball, than I thought he would. Keepers kicking was good. Ginerrly and Barrett showed some promise, but tired badly. But neither has had a lot of match practice. Negatives are Upson had a poor game. Clarke not much better. JCH looks a different player. The balls bouncing off him and his missing chances. Hopefully one will bounce off him and go in and he will start playing well again. Still not creating many chances. Big gaps between our midfield and forward line at times.

Better 1st half. Second half seemed terrible but I couldn’t really tell given the east terrace was full of what I must presume to be drama students ‘watching’ their first football match and looking for some attention. My biggest problem right now is JCH. I’m probably own my own but I’d drop him so he could earn his place in the team again after composing himself. Many will say who would you replace him with but that’s not what’s important. 50% poor refereeing today 50% JCH going town too easily and often, playing desperate shots, flick ons going into thin air. A break from the starting 11 will help him recompose himself and help get his head straight. I’d have said that before the penalty miss, I think that event confirmed this in my mind. I wouldn't be against dropping JCH. We need everyone to give 100% but I don't think he is right now. I've gone from being sure he would go this window and bitterly disappointed if he does, to thinking nobody wants him now and would snap their hand off at anything around a £1m.

Any chance of relegation he will have to go. We’re far enough ahead that by the time this comes around we would have seen a non stop continuation of our current form over a sustained period I was encouraged by our first half today though. It does concern me that before we were sh** in the first half and starkly better 2nd half and now it’s flip reversed and we’re capitulating.

Did you see my Bottom? We`re a long way from midsummer. And it`s not my ideal dream.

I am proud that Rovers are the only team not to have scored this year. Great record to hold.

If CH`s penalty had gone in, it would have been grand larceny.

Just saw we have Tranmere mid week as well. But we have a lot less mid week games, than we have previously had.

A whisker away from turning two goalless draws against the Cod Army, into two 1-0 wins. The fine margins.

Our Goal Of The Month competition should be fun. Yes. All 6 goals will be against Bolton... But who is capable of scoring them? Big Tone cant score them all

Dear Middlesbrough,
We hear you were interested in our star striker, known to us as JCH.
You might like to know he is on special offer in the January sales, and any serious offer will be considered. In fact any offer will be considered.
Love Wael x
