A point!
We aren't going up or down
We have a load of dead wood to clear, and BG deserves time to sort it out. We lacked pace and creativity and we need to rebuild over the summer
I don't think all this JCH bashing is doing anyone any good. He needs a striker alongside him, simple as that
I would hope we are looking at a surprise young striker to help our miss-firing forward line. A loan looks likely and the best bet before BG can get shot of Nichols/Benno.
With what he's got I'm happy to experiment with a more attacking formation and hope for a more settled side next season
As always, we dream of better things to come!

I am proud that Rovers are the only team not to have scored this year. Great record to hold. Yeah if you hold that statistic upside down then we’re top. Are you standing on your head ?

We'll never be able to play BG's way until we get in a couple of midfielers that are comfortable on the ball.

Draw was a fair result. That was never a pen, but it was one of the best dives Ive seen in a long time. Hats off to Rodders, it was a classy tumble. That the keeper saved it was justice.
I would still have been delighted if we'd won though.

Especially when we had a plan that clearly worked. Ben said he wouldn’t rock the boat, but hes tipped it over throwing everyone out while players are desperately swimming for their lives trying to work out what’s going on

You can’t blame him also for wanting to make it ‘his’ team. But at the same time I simply cannot comprehend how the process of making it his team involves totally throwing away the recipe that got us within a whisker of second. It’s almost like sabotage. Intentional sabotage. What is it they say about not changing a winning team? Well, we’ve not only changed it- we’ve dismantled it so bloody brilliantly the whole thing is now f**ked beyond repair. Quite literally, only at Bristol Rovers. I can’t get over it and probably won’t for a while.

I’m just seriously worried about Garner, I know one win could change everything but I genuinely don’t see where that will come from.

Slight improvement vs last game I saw vs Donny, but still some big holes and wondering what they do at half time. Fitness clearly an issue for a few but we came out weaker after the break just as we did with Donny. Losing Sercs was a real blow as he was the only creativity today. And OC had a poor game. I really can’t see what we were trying to do up front. JCH was taking a lot of direction from BG I noticed but to no effect. Looks like Barrett isn’t going to be solution to unlocking the drought. Still, a point is a point . . .

I imagine it's hard to come in to a team that isn't playing any football and telling them to keep doing it while inexplicably winning. To say it's sabotage is absolutely stupid, but that's just post-match frustration which we all get on a Saturday evening.

The effect is the same as sabotage, but that’s obviously not the intent. Whichever way you slice it that team was winning games playing Coughlan’s way and now he’s gone our form has done a complete 180 reverse.

Add losing fans, down to 6.400 today, so much for the suggestion fans would return if we started playing football, carry on like this and we'll be dipping below 6,000 home fans soon if home form doesn't pick up soon.

We weren't playing football that was pleasing on the eye though, it was all very Coughlan era from us today. If Garner wants us to play pretty passing football, he's got a long way to go.

I can't see any of our CM's are capable of playing a passing game, nor will Wael given Garner the budget to get such players in. Such a team would have to be: Hare Davies New CB THD (if he can stay fit) Ogogo New ACM Clarke New No 10 JCH Ginnelly

It wasn’t Coughlan era at all today I think and hasn’t been since Garners arrived. We went very direct and central under Coughlan big long passes from centre halfs and wing backs down the central area to JCH and feed off of him with players around him or sometimes it was on the deck but it was one or two passes and we were in their final third. Under Garner it’s get it down two passes sideways one back to the keeper then out wide - in to the middle - they close us down - another pass sideways or forwards - we lose the ball. It’s going to take time to work if it works at all and I doubt the board will give him loads of time , gates are down over a thousand since he arrived so clearly the fans are already losing interest. Whoever did the interviewing obviously either is prepared to give our new manager bucket loads of time or doesn’t understand football.

For me, the shape was different and true we tried to do some new tricks but a lot of what we did ended up reminding me of how it was under Coughlan. Garner will need some time to perfect the style of football he wants us to play and I’m fairly certain the board will give him the summer to do that regardless of how well we perform between now and then.

I think we can probably agree that the rest of this season is going to drag like f**k 🙄 Hopefully it will all come good in the end , I’m a patient person and I’m going to keep turning up and supporting our club but I’m worried Starnes theory of getting a new kind of manager in who will bring back the crowds has back fired and he and the rest of the powers that be won’t have the patience. We’ll see.

Always seemed to have time and space on the ball and our midfield couldn't get near them at times.

Big night this Tuesday at Bolton for the young manager, it should be his first win, but what I saw today is caution first, this is when experience comes into play. Will he release the team to go and get the result that is expected.
