Reasonable first half, not creating clear cut chances though. New boys and injury returners all with decent performances. Ref giving Rovers very little and nothing where JCH is concerned. OC and Sercs both with good work rate but giving the ball away too easily, especially OC. JCH not much better. Blackman and Ginelly looking good. Hopefully THD will last the second half or we might struggle. What's "decent" about Barrett's performance? He's doing about as much as Bennett would do if he was in the side. I don't get how we can continue to play JCH upfront on his own in home games. Carry on like this in the second half and getting a 0-0 will be our only hope. Does Garner realise you need to score goals to win games?? |

Blackman's distribution has made a big difference, nothing silly but he knows how to pick out a teammate.

A lot better than Bennett, who links nothing up and gives it away most of the time. |

Let’s not forget that we’re a side trying to play a style that we’ve worked on for three training sessions, against a team who have been coached in their way of playing for 18 months.
Chance creation is (unfortunately) going to be the bit that needs the most work from BG on the training ground.

Commentary about Davies was wrong. They windered why he fouled but it was quite a good opportunity for Fleetwood if he didn't.

Good player but his penalties aren’t great- his penno against Wimbledon was in the middle of the goal with a bit of height. A bit of preparation beforehand by the keeper and JCH is in trouble.
