I've had enough of Garner.
This football might work in the championship or prem but our players arent good enough to see the positions they need to take up, they arent good enough to execute the passes, the one player up top (if that at times!) is so isolated, we still didn't create much and against a very poor team that just kept giving us the ball back. We will not win a game as long as garner persists with this. And the lack of substitutions was unforgivable.

Poor but perhaps a little better than recently until Bolton scored then we fell apart and were terrible for last 15 minutes.
Ginnelly was useful on the wing and JCH seemed in a better mood but our midfield lacked any creativity again and it was painful watching Kilgour trying to be a right back.
All in all no real signs of improvement and Garner has a lot to do.

Better than we have been (the bar wasn't very high). Disappointing to concede like that though.

Needed to make a change but seems he didn't want to disrupt how we were playing. Disrupt how sh**e we were? Problem is there's nothing better on the bench, plus Garner for all his coaching badges seems to want to stick to a ridged 4-3-2-1 formation leaving JCH just isolated upfront, so much for better football to watch under Garner.

Has a manager ever had a poor a start as this in his first 10 games and gone on to be a success?

Another point! If we can sort out a decent right back or if Hare returns I think the 4-3-3 will start to pay dividends. It's not going to happen overnight! Most fans were adamant Cock Lands brand of football wouldn't take us anywhere! Garner wants to play with more flair and we won't see his true style until he has wormed out the dead wood And unbelievably this team are still 6 points off the play offs! No way will we go down, the current bottom 3 will go down. Me and mini gas will be behind the goal on Saturday and hoping for 3 points on our promotion rival! UTG Seriously, you reckon we need just a right back to make us a decent team?

Still a few days of the window!

BG has until 11pm Friday to find at least three players - a right back, a creative playmaker in midfield, and another striker. We will come very close to going down, or even drop, if he can't.

We've completely controlled the game & were deservedly ahead until we gave away a ridiculously soft goal. Without that the mood would be complately different. We are a side in transition and like it or not we'll have to ride the rough times before it gets better. The usual predictable we're dropping like a stone (despite moving up a place) & are in a relegation fight (16 points clear of bottom 3) posts but tonight was a small step forward. We certainly have to be more of a threat going forward and a midfield 3 which don't have a creative pass between them doesn't help however there were definite signs of light at the end of the tunnel albeit against a very poor side. Hopefully we can shift Bennett & Nichols before Friday & bring in a couple of extra forward players - it's not all doom & gloom.

I agree Gas-Ed. Too many players who cant do the basics and control the football. Lost count of the number of times we could not control the ball or make a simple pass. They seemed to control the ball perfectly well before Garner took over. Its easier to control a forty yard hoof than attempting to play tippy tappy football in a space that you could throw a blanket over half of our team. All well and good if you have players with the ability to do that but unfortunately BG does not appear to have realised we do not have that luxury. GC would appear to have played his football with the tools he was given and no one can surely doubt he was successful doing it that way.

Has a manager ever had a poor a start as this in his first 10 games and gone on to be a success? Pardew at Southampton in L1. Was winless in his first 10 games. In fact, we were the 10th game in that magical 3-2 away victory on a Tuesday night. Although, it's very different circumstances. I don't understand the comments of Ben's game working in the higher divisions. There is not a single division where these tactics would work.

Yes, fair play I came on here after the match expecting it to be a shitfest but there have been some positive comments despite the disappointing result. I know it’s only a small step but it’s clearly going to take time. I hope Ginnelly’s Ok.

As frustrating as it gets, an absolute gift to Bolton that they barely deserved. Our decision making in the final third in that second half was also appalling. Ollie Clarke had a decent game but was guilty on more than one occasion. The ‘lob’ was so poorly executed it was hilarious and also the lung bursting run, where he had Ginnelly & JCH both peeling off for the through ball, yet opted to shoot on his weaker foot when either pass was on. Alex Rodman (assist aside) was shocking. The man is as weak as anything I have seen, there just isn’t any fight in the lad. Two points thrown away and a long trip home. Time to get my head down, or try.

I don't see this as an issue of signing players (other than the striker we've needed for three years), the issue is the tactics, the managers philosophy.
