For goodness sake, Nobby. The world is facing the biggest threat to health since the Death of Colour outbreak in the middle ages, and you post a photo that`s puerile, distasteful, and unworthy of a seven year old child with severe autism. Do keep it up!!

We all need some light during these dark times...
At the height of World War II on April 6th, 1943, the British Ambassador to Moscow, Sir Archibald Clark Kerr, wrote a letter to Foreign Office minister Lord Reginald Pembroke in an effort to simply brighten up his day--a letter which has since become a classic piece of correspondence for reasons that will soon become obvious. The letter is indeed hilarious, and proof, if it were needed, that name-based punnery and mild xenophobia did a roaring trade long before the Internet was fired up.
(This letter, along with 124 other fascinating pieces of correspondence, can be found in the bestselling book, Letters of Note.)

My Dear Reggie,
In these dark days man tends to look for little shafts of light that spill from Heaven. My days are probably darker than yours, and I need, my God I do, all the light I can get. But I am a decent fellow, and I do not want to be mean and selfish about what little brightness is shed upon me from time to time. So I propose to share with you a tiny flash that has illuminated my sombre life and tell you that God has given me a new Turkish colleague whose card tells me that he is called Mustapha Lady Garden.
We all feel like that, Reggie, now and then, especially when Spring is upon us, but few of us would care to put it on our cards. It takes a Turk to do that.
(Signed)
Sir Archibald Clerk Kerr, H.M. Ambassador.

Unfortunately we all know that the world is full of some not-very-nice-people to say the least. And at such extreme times I guess their “nastiness” just gets more extreme. No real surprise. But we still get surprised. It’s why at times like this we need to be forewarned against such numpties and look out for those we love and care for. Keep safe everyone. UTG!

Morning everyone. Was wondering, is it too soon to see figures showing those that tested positive, have now tested negative? As in, they've gotten over it and are now presumably immune and safe?

Had our usual weekly home delivery today, surprised how few items couldn't be provided, most were there or suitable substitution.
Flour and eggs still not available though.
One other thing did come to light, although I could only order say, 3 potatoes, I was allowed to buy the 3 loose potatoes plus a larger bag of potatoes and tins of potatoes. Same with bread and milk, maximum of 3 bottles (bottles not pints) of skimmed and 3 semi skimmed.
Just as well because as my in laws are housebound, we agreed to get a few extras for them (hence the bread and milk above). Just need to get it across to them now without being stopped and questioned 🤔

In Bristol and WSM food delivery vans have been found burnt out. If this is true information wouldn't it be good if we could create a germ just to exterminate these so called people? Is this what you are referring to ?
"" Two Iceland supermarket vans have been destroyed in arson attacks – hours after Prime Minister Boris Johnson told people to stay at home.
The delivery vans were destroyed in the attack outside an Iceland store in Arnside Road, Southmead, Bristol, on Monday night.
Richard Walker, managing director of the retailer, said: “At a time when home delivery is literally a lifeline for some vulnerable people, this is sickening.”
In a statement, Iceland said the disturbances began at around 9.30pm.
“ It is shocking and distressing that anyone would act so callously to put vehicles out of service at precisely the time when they are most needed to deliver food to the most vulnerable ”
Iceland statement
“Police riot vans were called out and youths threw missiles at the police as they tried to disperse them,” the retailer said.
“Later in the evening the two home delivery vans parked outside our Southmead store were set alight and the fire brigade attended to put out the fire.
“The vans will both have to be written off. We believe this to be an act of mindless vandalism rather than a targeted attack on Iceland.”
It added: “While we can and will bring in replacement vans to maintain our home delivery service in Southmead, our entire van fleet is running at absolutely full capacity at the moment, and it is shocking and distressing that anyone would act so callously to put vehicles out of service at precisely the time when they are most needed to deliver food to the most vulnerable people in our society.”
Avon and Somerset Police were also investigating other incidents that took place in Henbury and Southmead, including criminal damage and a car being set on fire.
The force said several incidents took place between 10pm on Monday and 12.30am on Tuesday, including:
– Someone having a brick through their window in Tranmere Avenue.
– Cars being smashed up in Ullswater Road and Strathearn Drive.
– A car set on fire in Charlton Lane so close to a house that the family had to evacuate to the back garden until it was made safe.
“ It is beyond belief that anyone would be so reckless and thoughtless ”
Chief Inspector Mark Runacres
Patrolling officers came across the Iceland van fire and called it in while officers were flagged down by a member of the public over the car damage in Strathearn Drive.
Chief Inspector Mark Runacres said: “Just hours after the Prime Minister announced that everyone in the country should stay home to save lives, it is beyond belief that anyone would be so reckless and thoughtless.
“Officers were already patrolling the area following recent instances of anti-social behaviour and we’ll continue to do so.
“We put an order in place last night to give officers extra powers to disperse groups and will continue to use our existing powers to tackle this problem.
“We are working with our communities and partners to identify and take appropriate action against those responsible. If you have any information which could help, get in touch.
“We believe that a group of teenagers were involved in these disturbances. I have one message for them, their parents and carers. Stay at home. Save lives.” ""

Yes it is Scooby, the one in WSM was an Asda van. Eye for an eye me, I would make 'em starve.
