Pirate come on, if we wanted to use twitter, we would go on twitter. Can we stick to discussion, please, at the very least? This is a forum, not twitter, and you seem to want to turn it in to twitter. "At the very least" its good to be factual, like I did to counter yattongas' misinformation with tweets from the Award winning analyst and former Head of Health/Job stats at the Office for National Statistics, Jamie Jenkins.

Thank you for not posting another twitter link. I really feel it detracts from what this forum is supposed to be about. Its interesting to me how you seem to post credentials to add weight to your position but only where it suits. The credentials of those with alternative positions are convwniently ignored. Nonetheless, shall we talk about the vaccine surveillance report? What is it in there that concerns you the most? As you know, I hate this government with all of my being. I am only interested in science and not politicised science. So let's get to the bottom of this shall we?

The vaccine surveillance report I posted was in response to yattongas' claim that "the fact that most hospitalisations are people who aren’t vaccinated". The week 50 report states 40% of Covid patients admitted to hospital were unvaccinated and 48% in ICU were unvaccinated, so most hospitalisations were NOT "unvaccinated", according to official sources.

This is true. However, have you taken in to account the amount of people that are vaccinated generally? For example, if 80% of people were vaccinated but that vaccination made no difference, you would expect in a random sample of hospitalised patients that 80% would be vaccinated and 20% not. We don't see this however, proportionally we see a far higher % of hospitalisations being unvaccinated- as you say, 48%. There is no spin here, this is just statistical, factual truth. What is your rationale for this or evidence to the contrary?

Blimey how bloody stupid are you ? If 90% of people are vaccinated and 10% aren’t and 40% of hospitalisations are the unvaccinated….. they’re taking up loads of beds and are the reason we’re most likely going to have more restrictions. What is so difficult to understand about that ? Are you really that dim 🙄

That would be because you are a complete and utter fool . Anyway , I’ve wasted enough time tonight chatting to you flat earthers. 🙄 “Flat earthers” makes me laugh when people like you keep trying to use this silly phrase as an insult , Have you ever used this term before when you’ve disagreed with someone else’s opinion ? or simply just trying to sound trendy and clever by copying the latest new buzz word ? You strike me as someone who would also think it’s clever to use the buzz words ‘snowflake’ , ‘boomer’ ‘Gammon’ etc Quite silly really for a grown man / woman to use these words as it reminds me of being at school when the class idiot runs out of things to say and try’s to end a discussion by saying ‘and your mum’ 😂 Hi Okebourne 😀 In answer to you question, no I don’t you the phrase ‘ flat earthers ‘ very often or even at all until now. I was trying to get across the absurdity of arguing with people like yourself & pirate who try to claim black is white . Anyway , thanks for your word salad 🙄

These patients would have been admitted otherwise.

These patients would have been admitted otherwise. OK. So two questions. 1. If you believe this, why would it be different between vaccinated and unvaccinated people? 2. Present evidence to support this? If it was the case, we would expect no rise (over normal) in admissions and no rise (over normal) in excess deaths. Both of which we have good evidence for. We would also expect them by your logic to be presenting originally with other conditions that can lead to ICU admission, heart attacks (maybe, these tend to be dealt with on specialist cardiac units these days), strokes, trauma etc. We do not see a rise in these conditions in the statistics.

Yeah Boris can’t survive cancelling another Christmas, even if it would be what’s best for the country - his job is more important.
Well, unless more proof of the Christmas party comes out that is. If that’s the case expect full scale lock down the same day.
I’m also going to go with 26th announcement for 29th lockdown. That gives enough last chance for Boxing Day sales on the 28th
