Yes, quite. Variants don't necessarily get weaker at all. It is, as genetic mutation dictates, entirely random. As another poster mentioned, there is a sweet spot for the virus, get too lethal and you become less dominant as you kill off your host before peak transmission, but nonetheless, you are entirely right. Still, if a bricklayer on twitter says otherwise who am I to argue? |
