There was effort and chances missed and we should of nicked it at the end with the JCH chance.
That said apart from the first 15 minutes we looked and played like a reasonable Southern League team.

We were the better side tonight again but just panic in front of goal, Ollie Clarke..upson..leahy..little aren’t up to the standard of top 10 league one. Littles legs have gone, he’s like a robot that needs his joints oiling trying to past a player. His mind is up to it but his body is 5 seconds behind Leahy is a back up not a first eleven player Upson is too slow and doesn’t track back with any conviction and if his role is to produce the goods on the ball he’s way too predictable and slow. Ollie gives everything and played better in the last 15 mins but his final ball and decision making on fouls and stupid yellow cards isn’t what we want right now and especially being captain. Not making excuses but a different pitch then we would have played a lot better. I wish I was that quick

Dreadful performance all round against a very poor opposition. Garner needs to now make a few strong decisions and back his new signings by giving them game time. At least then we can judge him directly. Very fair comment about moving out the old guard and giving game time to his new players .... Crazy that Barrett now can’t get a start and we are still waiting to see Harries. Hopefully Daly will be fit by the weekend.

I just don’t see how a manager can go this many games, scoring so few, conceding so many and generally playing this bad without a win and people still thinking he’ll turn it around.
He’s out of his depth with zero experience, he’s not going to turn this around.

Being generous, about 3 or 4 of that starting eleven is probably good enough to play a passing style game. Unless Garner can teach old dog's new tricks on the training ground we're again looking at even more turnover in playing personnel but without the safety net of a proven manager being in charge. At least Darrell Clarke had a few good seasons at Salisbury to fall back on. At the moment, all we have is blind faith that BG knows what he's doing and can turn around a winless run of 13 games.

I can't be too critical of that to be honest. It was a terrible game of football in bad conditions against a pretty thuggish side.... We set up to win an ugly game with what was decent football given the circumstances if only occasionally.... We should and could have bagged the 3 points, and were unlucky not to.... Reasoned view you re banned 😂😂😂😂 We got found out under GC and it was dire, agree with everything the Evil post reporter wrote pre match today, we were so lucky in so many of the games scraping wins, that it was unsustainable, and we had to change it. BG will get it right, I have every faith.

I can’t see Garner sorting this mess out. After all, he has created it. We are just about safe for this season but next season we will be down by December if this continues. I’m afraid to say I’ve no faith in Garner. I can’t ever recall a manager turning this sort of form around. This wasn’t a broken team that he took over by any stretch of the imagination.

well that was a decent performance IMHO in terrible conditions, first 25 was excellent but did not take the chances created, and was fearing the worse, but finished game strongly and then that final chance goes begging, game proved that there is no way Tranmere can make up the points difference and those saying we could go down forget it ,it aint going to happen! JCH best for a long time (misses excepted!)up front and in defence, Mitch likewise excellent, only worry is that the likes of Little ,Leahey, have costly mistakes in them, i know its frustrating but don't agree with those saying it was sh**e and all that , we aint far away ,roll on Blackpool and that elusive three points, up the Rovers.!!

I am not quite with the negative Normans. Battled really hard, loads of spirit and with luck/ better finishing could have won. Agree the big man not at his best when he had too much time. Unpopular opinion but thought Ollie C was great, gave everything for the shirt. Not everything came off but worked his socks off and was a creative force from the middle. Pitch and wind spoilt the quality of the game. Chill folks, we will finish mid table and then we go again.

Im equally amazed people are complaining about the performance level of the side, assuming they’ve seen the state of the pitch/conditions tonight? It was never going to be a pretty game and all about securing the points by hook or by crook. We missed 5 clear cut chances to not just beat Tranmere, but hammer them. That is on the players, once again.

I don't dispute that there were few games where we outclassed the opposition, but it can't be all down to luck when you go the equivalent of an entire season winning games.

I agree. If we got a new manager in last week and his first 2 games were Saturday and tonight, we would be saying we look much improved. Unfortunately looking at his time here as a whole, and it does look awful. The fact we have improved of late and under no pressure of going down would lead me to stick with him for now and see. If we start going backwards though before our first win under him then I may change my mind.

You don't spend 45 minutes second in the league, half way through a season based entirely on luck. Cnnit beleive anyone in their right mind is still backing this fraud.

At least then we can judge him directly. None of them have ever played a league game, not the time to be introducing kids when you cannot win. Why do you keep spouting that untrue rubbish?

Again it’s not the managers fault that we miss multiple clear cut chances. Back him or do one

GC not doing brilliant at Mansfield. If he gets the sack in the next few weeks let’s just let bygone be bygones and get him back!
