Simply not good enough Looking at Garner walking off I wonder if he will resign this evening I suspect a severance deal might not be difficult to negotiate. Seems a really nice guy but unfortunately that's not enough. Can't image what he will say in post match interview. There has to be a performance related element to any contract surely. His record is so awful I can't see anyone disagreeing that he should be released with some compensation (3 or 6 months pay?), but not paying up his full contract. |

It clearly is not working. Results are terrible and performances are not improving. We cannot afford to let this fester any longer. He has to walk or be sacked. |

I think it's gone to far, I can't think of any manager who has every turned out to be successful with a club after such a bad start. Once things go so badly wrong for someone they rarely come good. I'm sad about because the football he promise and developing young players all sounded good but performances not just results are getting worse by the week. |

Sorry Axegas but there are no signs of improvement, the players he has already brought in have made little impact, he seems unable to adapt to how the game is progressing, he sticks to a formation no matter how badly it is performing and he seems incapable of instilling team spirit and resilience. He is almost an anti-manager! |

A knee jerk decision will just lead to an eye watering severance bill and leave the team rudderless. If Garner gets the summer, IMO there is a lot more chance that his vision, which let’s face it we all want to see implemented, will come to fruition. |

Well someone had to come out and argue for the opposite side of things. Personally I don’t think we should sack him but I respect that might be an unpopular view amongst some. No excuses for today’s performance though.

We are going backwards. The bloke was allowed to sign a lot of players in Jan. Way more than what I thought he would. We had a decent enough team already here who were 4th in the league. You've got to work with what you have too. We lack bite, creativity, we're poor defensively, no spirit, 1 win since he's been here. Why should we keep him? The fact that we are probably not going to get relegated is not a good enough reason for me. |

Let him go. Give a new manager 10 games to suss out our squad and rebuild wholesale in the summer. That’s a sensible long term project for you. Any time Garner spends longer in the club is time another manager could have building for next season.

JCH was fantastic with Nichols alongside for 12 months and we had a partnership that worked. I can understand the new manager wanting to bring his own ideas to the club but the things that were working well should have been kept in place with just some occasional changes. Garners come in and torn up everything good we had going. I can’t see him turning it around now. |

The hope that it'll work out is evaporating unfortunately. At what point is the call made? If March has the same return as February then it can't and I don't think will continue, it'll be beyond the point of return by then.
