Another thing that f**ks me off with Garner, is that every time he says, 'I take responsibility for that,' his next sentence is to blame someone else. Classic manager speak that- DC was guilty of it too, and GC. “I’m not going to blame the fox sh** on the training ground or the owls who keep me up at night hooting under my window, I’ve got far too much integrity for that”. They both didn’t clutch at straws like Garner though. Garner has completely changed since his first game. He seemed like he was grateful for the opportunity and quite humble. It seems that was just an act because he thought it would be easy. Now he’s realising how tough it all is he is looking for literally anything to blame his own failings on. Can you imagine working for a boss like him? In some ways I don’t blame the players for not being motivated when you see your boss, who took over a winning team, talking sh** about everyone but himself

See at the time we were looking at joe powell at the Hammers who turned us down for Burton, regularly starting for them which is what I expected from Josh.

If the players arent doing what they're supposed to be doing why continue to select them? BG always looking for excuses: referees, players, injuries, bad luck. The list goes on. Before the signing of Barratt, presumably an assessment was made as to how long it would take to get him match fit. Armed with that knowledge, it would enable the management to consider whether Barratt was worth acquiring. Plus BG said he'd been watching JB for 18 months, assuming he been didn't he notice he might be slightly overweight/unfit? Plus how long does it take a pro footballer to get fit anyway, Hare's recovered from an ACL injury quicker than JB's lost a stone in weight!

I’ve heard he’s likely to be fully fit and much lighter by the Ipswich game. He’s been on a Nick Day boot camp.

Wtf is wrong with the players these days, need a good kick up the arse The blame lies with the clubs who sign them. “Unfit? No contract for you”. It’s not rocket science.

The same things were being said by Coventry fans TWO YEARS AGO. I guess players with know injury or fit problems demand less wages and we are in the market for them in the hope things improve. TDH, Little and Barrett and some others who I'll not name spring to mind. Yes agreed and was going to write something similar . These ‘hopeful’ buys aren’t working out and instead of cheap options they’re proving to be a waste of our limited budget it seems.

It sums up our transfer action in January
We were all excited about the quantity of signings but it was surely a case of getting in less quality!
We desperately needed a creative midfielder, an experienced striker and perhaps a right back
We ended up with a glut of inexperienced youngsters in positions we didn't really need
Was this BG or Tommy's fault?
The whole thing is a mess and I just want this season to end. I really hope we don't get tonked tomorrow night, but I can't see any shoots of hope. We are in a nightmare scenario of no confidence and players not playing for the manager. What to do?
I have no faith in the board and so I presume this mess will continue until either they sell up or we really go to pot.
Not sure which will happen first!

I must say I'm getting a bit fed up with this guy. Supposed to have been signed as our midfield play-maker but is still too unfit (fat?) to play football according to BG today. It's now nearly 9 weeks since he signed and surely anyone at his age should be able to get a base level of fitness in that time to be able to play if they wanted to. Not even risked in development squad recently. What is going on in our training sessions? Does his guy want to get fit? That's what they said when he left. He could be good, if he gets himself fit. He did play for the developing side last week though I thought??

Bryant was much more of an athlete than Barrett though. Despite his well-documented off the field issues, he could always get around the pitch. Barrett looks like he's running through quicksand by comparison. Running through Pizza topping might be more accurate? He would eat the lot not run through it 😂😂

Looking at Barratt's Instagram account then similar to Rooney he's always looked to be carrying some weight, is there any real evidence he's actually overweight/not fit or just another forum fact he is?

There must be considerable costs involved when signing Players carrying injuries with diagnostic scans and surgery. Would the Club be able to recover the costs from the Medical insurers with pre-existing conditions such as THD and Little?

Perhaps it is the same source of forum fact that revealed we are paying 75% of TN’s wages at Cheltenham?

Garner explaining to us that barrett has not met the required level of fitness for the criteria he has shrewdly put in place at the club. Weeks after he signed him. I find it unbelievable and do not forget we payed a fee for him.

I find it unbelievable and do not forget we payed a fee for him. A small fee, but Reading wanted a sell on clause. Readings manager said he might have made a mistake letting him go. He said in a polite way if he sorts out his fitness, he can be a top player. It's a gamble, but if we can get him fit, it will be worth it.

Yeah he’s done that in every time interview lately. I’m going tonight but We’re going to get hammered I know it. I’ve nrver bet against the Gas but I have a look and Sunderland 6-0 is 125-1 I might bang a tenner on it.
