I must say I'm getting a bit fed up with this guy. Supposed to have been signed as our midfield play-maker but is still too unfit (fat?) to play football according to BG today.
It's now nearly 9 weeks since he signed and surely anyone at his age should be able to get a base level of fitness in that time to be able to play if they wanted to. Not even risked in development squad recently.
What is going on in our training sessions? Does his guy want to get fit?

Barrett reminds me of Simon Bryant very talented, his Brother played for sheeds and according to a neighbour they liked the Blue Bowl and the chippy opposite more than football.

Looks like Lee Tomlin hope he can play as well if we ever see him ffs. This could be another Benno signing but not as expensive

I just watched his pre sunderland match preview. Turned it off halfway through. The bloke spouts crap

Barrett reminds me of Simon Bryant very talented, his Brother played for sheeds and according to a neighbour they liked the Blue Bowl and the chippy opposite more than football. Bryant was much more of an athlete than Barrett though. Despite his well-documented off the field issues, he could always get around the pitch. Barrett looks like he's running through quicksand by comparison.

Apparently BG is damaging his own chances by insisting that Barrett gets fit. Presumably BG thinks with an unfit Barrett we'd be getting results, but he has too much integrity to play him. The bloke is Dam me off.

Harries is completely unfit as well. He was well off the pace on Saturday.
Couldn't believe it when he pulled up with cramp after about 60 minutes.

Another thing that f**ks me off with Garner, is that every time he says, 'I take responsibility for that,' his next sentence is to blame someone else.

On the weekend there was a lot of 'It's my responsibility, the players aren't doing what we work on in training'

If the players arent doing what they're supposed to be doing why continue to select them? BG always looking for excuses: referees, players, injuries, bad luck. The list goes on.
Before the signing of Barratt, presumably an assessment was made as to how long it would take to get him match fit. Armed with that knowledge, it would enable the management to consider whether Barratt was worth acquiring.
