I don't want him to go until he's thrown a real wobbler on the touchline, hairdryer, the lot. You see, I don't believe he is a mr nice guy at all, and his facade started to crumble a bit at Saffend. Okay, it was just minor irritation and some pointing of the finger, but I don't think it'll be much longer before we see the real pent up anger streaming out of him and they'll all step in line. The players step in line?? I want to see Ben lose his sh** a bit on the sideline. I like passion. Lets be honest, the players should be just as embarrassed about the results for past few months, all of them need to pull their fingers outs.

A person's true nature is revealed at times of the greatest adversity.If you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you; If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or, being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;
If you can dream—and not make dreams your master; If you can think—and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with triumph and disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to broken, And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;
If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, Or walk with kings—nor lose the common touch; If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you; If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run— Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And—which is more—you'll be a Man, my son! Fake News !

What an insult to Rudyard Kipling....who is long remembered,unlike you Ben. You will be remembered for folding your arms, stood in the technical with your gloves attached to your coat sleeves by string. Quizzically looking out at your players,getting shown up by some team you were " going to inflict a heavy defeat on " and thinking " there is nothing I can do until pre-season " and it's only March.

There is plenty we can do between now and preseason and none of it includes keeping Ben Garner on as manager.
There are 4 individuals in the club who I’m sure would do a better job, and countless others outside the club, who’d be willing to give it a go until the end of the season.

They use the old salty sea Captain in all advertising, but it goes under the brand name of 'Iglo'.......Kaptin Iglo would you believe !

With several players out of contract in the summer, negotiations are underway for new deals, and Garner insists no-one, yet, has been told they do not have a future at the Mem.

“Everyone’s part of the group at the moment”But he may have done the football equivalent of bringing everyone into a room and tellling them they’re at risk of redundancy So your best staff think they’re for the chop and lose all interest Bread and butter don’t mess with people’s job security unnecessarily when you need them to do a job.

I have no idea one way or the other tbh, just going by the public comments being made in official interviews. Outside of that people are free to believe whatever they wish.....

I have Sympathy with Ben as he’s took over the squad that had the rug pulled from its feet from GC and he’s taking over with a long term plan of professionalism and what we’ve all been craving for,
Good passing football (which gets you promoted and sustainable )
Young prospects that will give us a good return (for once)
And bring in his coaching experience along with good connections
Everyone throwing their toys out the prams seem to be new fans and a long standing gashead has patience because you have to supporting this club
He’s walking into a club that haven’t played decent football for seasons and train on a fox sh** riddled Sunday morning football pitch which they get kicked off now and then to then play on Astro turf. A club with no money because Dc watered our biggest transfer budget in decades on a pile of sh**. Fair play to him for trying and it’s not worked out yet but he’s stuck with over achieving players that are lower league 2 standard Leahy Upson Clarke Craig Nichols Bennett Jvs All taking their money and not up to a season long consistent ability The football being played at the moment is pretty much on par with us when we scabbed some wins under GC Giving the ball away constantly, Not picking players up, Getting back in numbers but not effectively Too slow on our build up play or just hoofing it forward I personally think anyone who goes on social media trolling Ben garner With the likes of “Ben garner get out of my club” can f**k off themselves because if we ever dropped back into non league those people wouldn’t be at games or taking time to post about rovers. Why when we 4th did we have dwindling numbers? Because we played awful football and what won us games was jch keeping his run going and anssi pulling off worldies and the opposition missing some easy chances.

“Everyone’s part of the group at the moment”if negotiations are already underway I assume the players must know who's being offered deals and who isn't, plus what deals are being offered, if they are poor deals the one's offered new deals might feel there times up at Rovers. Regardless if they've been offered deals and are still playing poorly that's surely even bigger a concern?

Opening this thread and reading the OP made my eyes roll back so far in my head that I've had to hold my phone behind my head to type the reply.

This long uttered notion of Garner implementing his ideas and this wondrous new place "we're going to"...it's like chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!

I have Sympathy with Ben as he’s took over the squad that had the rug pulled from its feet from GC and he’s taking over with a long term plan of professionalism and what we’ve all been craving for, Good passing football (which gets you promoted and sustainable ) Meaningless phrase in football unless you are a rich club with good infrastructure
Young prospects that will give us a good return (for once) there is no guarantee that any youngster will go on to be a good pro, no matter how good they are at 20And bring in his coaching experience along with good connections. Steve Coppell is his one connectionEveryone throwing their toys out the prams seem to be new fans and a long standing gashead has patience because you have to supporting this club. Wrong I've supported them since January 1968He’s walking into a club that haven’t played decent football for seasons and train on a fox sh** riddled Sunday morning football pitch which they get kicked off now and then to then play on Astro turf. Those wins took us to 4th in the table, the best we have been in 16 years Giving the ball away constantly, Not picking players up, Getting back in numbers but not effectively Too slow on our build up play or just hoofing it forward I personally think anyone who goes on social media trolling Ben garner With the likes of “Ben garner get out of my club” can f**k off themselves because if we ever dropped back into non league those people wouldn’t be at games or taking time to post about rovers. Your are on social media right now as we spiral down league oneWhy when we 4th did we have dwindling numbers? Our home game against Southend had a gate of 8,700Because we played awful football and what won us games was jch keeping his run going and anssi pulling off worldies and the opposition missing some easy chances. It doesn't matter how, the fact is we were a team that was hard to beat, and won more than we lost. Next?
You don't think going from a back 5 to a flat 4 with a centre half at right back has anything to do with it?
