Toppers about to say something like "I can't see us having an electricity bill of £4m and my insurance is only £200". Oh I don't know, having been an nPower customer....😶 I used to live in a flat with underfloor heating. I only ever fell for that one winter. Put a jumper on ever after that.

Lets try and make this simple and clear as poss. (Figures rounded up to nearest 100k) I have left out the standard trade creditors/bills to concentrate on the numbers that really matter Creditors (amount falling due inside a year) Group Undertakings £16.2m (This is the rolling credit facility from Dwane Sports, secured against The Mem, currently valued at £11.1m) Other Creditors £4.4m (not sure who or what this is) Total creditors £20.6m So we owe £4.4m to somebody other than DS, if so, I fear that's a bigger worry than the £16.2m we owe DS? Possibly owed to the owners - accrued interest and dividends on loans and shares.

Seemingly resolved by "clever" accounting: "Those losses were reduced from more then £45m after the club sold their training ground and received income from management charges and loan fees. The Royals also spent £1.5m in rent on their Madejski Stadium ground. Reading sold the ground for £26.5m to a holding company controlled by owner Dai Yongge in the previous financial year." Not sure what's left to sell now apart from the players?

On another forum . It has been suggested the money is being taken from Rovers to prop up another of the families assets. Although not illegal -- Can anyone substantiate this ?

This might refer to the purchases of £127 K in 2017 and £71K in 2018 which BRFC made on behalf of Dwane Colony Ltd.
At 30.06.18 Dwane Colony Ltd owed BRFC £198 K

Is that some or a lot of the 24 Million might have been put against the club when it was actually benefitting another of the families companies ?

I'm not making it up -- I simply asked the question regarding the comments I read. I suppose put another way. If we are 24millin debt How did it manage to get to this level ?

No one should doubt an honest question, the query is probably more about seeing the comments you referred to in context. The short answer is we aren't £24m in debt. Someone has probably misread (genuinely or mischievously) the latest accounts.

Liabilities up until March 2019 £20.3 m - Liabilities up to March 2020 ?

The £ 127,000 in 2017 would have included fencing the land so, if annual maintenance is about £ 70,000, we might be looking at around £ 338,000 owed by Dwane Colony Ltd to BRFC. Or about the same value as 1000 season tickets.

Someone has probably misread (genuinely or mischievously) the latest accounts. You sure about that? Liabilities up until March 2019 £20.3 m - Liabilities up to March 2020 ? Net liabilities were £17m I thought. By next year it may be true but not at the time of the accounts and if losses continued we'd be at the £20m mark as of now.
