Be stupid to say no. One of the best strikers about at this level Adam Johnson would be the best midfielder in the league at this level but I wouldn't have him here either.... Before someone insinuates I am, ofcourse I'm not in the slightest comparing the 2 of them, just stating the fact that there's more to wanting someone to join than just their ability. The way he left and who he left for still agitates some fans, also things he's said/done while he's been there such as having a picture holding a toy snake makes it seem he still doesn't seem to care about our fans and, in my view, shows he has zero respect for us. Tbh I think he'll sign for Oxford even if they don't go up. Adam Johnson would not be the best midfielder in the league but he would definitely be the most expensive. Also, strange comparison?

He is a fantastic striker at this level and on that basis I’d have him back.
Reality is though that he’s moved on and doesn’t fit the mould of where we’re going with young, talented, raw but High potential Players that we can develop.... he’s too established and too expensive these days.

Perhaps the more pertinent question is would he have us back?
Burned bridges at both ends

41 people have said yes? Baffling.

In fairness no one ever said he was not a good player for us ...... Just a shame he turned out to be a snake.

Have some of you got no pride at all ? The bloke well and truly shat on us , yet some of you would take him back ! Yeah... Let's stick with Tom nichols instead.. Sh*t striker but a great bloke.. I'm sure we'd all rather have a striker that Scores us 2 goals a season and leaves us fighting a relegation battle than a 20 goals a season man and us challenging for promotion.. I'd take success over stupid 'pride' anyday

I've got at least 2 reasons why we won't see Taylor in the quarters again:
1. The club could not afford his wages. 2. He would never want to play for Rovers after the vitriol that was directed (understandably) at him by a significant number of the fan base.

He is also no 30ish I believe, and far too old for our new boss

Although I'd like to know where you think we're going to find the money to pay both JCH and MT top L1 money when we're still most likely going to be lumbered with KB on the budget.

There is no doubt he was a good player for us and could probably still do a job for us,but as others have said,he would not want to come back to Rovers. His life would be made hell wouldn't it? So I say NO.

For various reasons, it will never happen - but it was a "yes" vote from me.

MT also ‘bottled it’ on his first return to the Mem.
The atmosphere reigning down upon him was white hot, he took the easy way out & sold his physio a fib or two after barely 30minutes.

We ain’t gonna sign him anyway and he wouldn’t want to come back , so it’s a totally redundant point. It ain’t happening!

We have about as much chance of me signing for the gas than MT. Like others have said , I can’t blame him for wanting to earn more money and stay close to home and ply his trade at a higher level and lets be honest better all round everything ( apart from their fickle fans ) The way in which it was all done and how I remember seeing that smug grin on his face upon his unveiling will always stay with me.
It’s such a shame he left in the circumstances that he did because he would of always gotten a hero’s welcome if things were different.
So no , not for me.

If City won promotion would we get some money as part of a sell on clause? You can’t have a sell on clause on the terms that Taylor left under. City were the only club to meet the release clause so after that the negotiations were purely between City and the player, we had no further leverage to get any more out of the deal than the release clause value. Better hope Billy Bodin's Preston go up then!
