He scored 7 in 7 at Oxford just before the break. There’s certainly no doubt about his ability at this level.

Would be surprised if he didn’t end up at Oxford

No but wouldn't be at all surprised to see him play a big part in helping Oxford win the play offs. Oxford vs Pompey with The snake vs Ellis could be interesting.

Its irrelevant anyway because even if we did want him back he will have far better offers elsewhere.
Likelihood is he will stay at Oxford but if they don't go up there's a good chance he will stay in the championship, maybe with one of the newly promoted sides. Wouldn't surprise me if Pompey went for him if they go up.

Another that will be a divide of the terraces. I’d like to think we have a by far superior finisher (albeit completely different kind of forward) in JCH.

He's a great striker at this level, so my head says yes, but my gut instinct would be no. All purely hypothetical anyway as Qatar Gas said he would have plenty of more lucrative offers than us anyway. Oxford were his home town club so I'd be surprised if he didn't end up there.

For sure he'll end up at Oxford. I don't think it's even in question?

Good business if we can get him on a free.

Nope, never felt he showed us any respect, he was nothing till he came to us and was party to one of the most underhand transfer deals in history, i would have had no problem with him wanting to do the best for himself and family but his whole demeanour during his last few months with us left a lot to be desired and he disrespected us in a big way,

Shame for 1982 if he goes without a fee. Even Rovers managed to get 300K for him.

As a player I would have him back, but it would be a bad idea as people would just hate on him

Nope, not really...don't think he would want to come back either.
Fully expect him to sign for Oxford.

Yup. Sod it. His replacement scored 4 in 93 appearances and got our most successful manager in the last 25 years sh**-canned in the process - I consider that far more of a water take than a bloke wanting to triple his pay packet.

If City won promotion would we get some money as part of a sell on clause?
