If it comes with a blue rosette, this lot will vote for it. Argue for it even. Dominic Cummings will save us. š¶ What an odious man he is as well . Thought Iād maybe like him a bit more before watching that interview. Nope.

It could never happen here, could it? "Human rights organisations and the Law Commission, which drew up the proposals, say there should be aĀ 'public interest defence' included to prevent the prosecution of journalists who receive leaked documents.Ā But in a paper released for the consultation, the Home Office said such a move would 'undermine our efforts to prevent damaging unauthorised disclosures, which would not be in the public interest'. Critics suggested that if the rules were in place now it could have led to a prosecution of the journalists who revealed this month that Matt Hancock was breaking Covid rules by having an affair with his married aide, because it relied on leaked CCTV footage." www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-9806517/amp/Journalists-face-14-years-prison-embarrassing-Government-proposed-law-change.html?__twitter_impression=true

3% pay rise, deserve more but better than the original proposal. news.sky.com/story/nhs-staff-get-pay-rise-of-3-after-their-contribution-during-unprecedented-year-12360786NHS workers will get a pay rise of 3% backdated to April 2021, the government has announced. Those receiving the increase include nurses, paramedics, consultants, dentists and salaried GPs. They are being recognised for their pandemic contribution during an unprecedented year, says the government. In a statement, Health Secretary Sajid Javid said: "NHS staff are rightly receiving a pay rise this year despite the wider public sector pay pause, in recognition of their extraordinary efforts. We asked the independent pay review bodies for their recommendations and I'm pleased to accept them in full, with a 3% pay rise for all staff in scope, from doctors and nurses to paramedics and porters. "We will back the NHS as we focus our efforts on getting through this pandemic and tackling the backlog of other health problems that has built up. I will continue to do everything I can to support all those in our health service who are working so tirelessly to care for patients."

Inflation rate about 2% I think and the proposed 1% increase in National insuranceā¦ā¦. They stand still .

This is disgraceful. Resist. Tory scum and their voters will love this, but these endless stupid stories are just a distraction whilst the rich siphon money off of the state.

Annabel. On Twitter. ššššš First link I found for the story. But don't worry, file in the totalitarian section with "discriminatory" vaccine passports, digital I.D. system, social credit, censorship, banning certain protests, spy cops bill and 14 years in jail for journalists that "embarrass the Government" etc etc etc.

If voting changed anything, they'd make it illegal. Or as Professor Carroll Quigley wrote about American politics which is relevant here, "the two parties should be almost identical, so that the American people can throw the rascals out at any election without leading to any profound or extensive shifts in policy. Then it should be possible to replace it, every four years if necessary, by the other party which will be none of these things but will still pursue, with new vigor, approximately the same basic policies."
