I remember the first seasons at twerton, crowds were around the 2,500 mark, just the hardcore left, so best not to take the water out of the 82ers regards crowds, even still their support around 82/83 was pretty sh**e considering they only had a short walk and we were playing in another city. Yep....so they said. 100% some of those attendances were more, but for tax reasons a lower gate was declared. It's the other way round now with season tickets holders counted whether they attend or not. I'm proud to say, I was amongst the lowest attendances as much as I could attend at Twerton being a working teenager. And away. Pretty much knew alot on sight in those days because we were all in together (or that's how it felt!).

Yep, as one of the "faithful 3,000" stood on the Popular Side, the "tonight's OFFICIAL attendance" on the tannoy became a standing joke between me and my dad. Could usually gauge the attendance by how far away we parked and the length of the queue getting in.

It’ll be a sad day when Johnson gets the sack.
Once they get rid of the dwarf and actually hire someone proper like Chris Hughton or Jokanovic it’ll only be a matter of time before they are a PL team.
Count our lucky stars he’s still with them.

I'm surprised they lost today, of all teams they are surely the best prepared for playing in silent stadiums. Over on One Turd a thread about tomorrow's match against Wednesday states the fans will be replaced with cardboard cut-outs. What we can be sure of is that the cut-outs will make more noise than the real thing.

Where on earth would you start when designing a cardboard cut out of a shithead!! Toilet rolls for the body and an empty goldfish bowl for the head?

Surely that makes us elite Gasheads?

Boris Johnson has announced the easing of recent Lockdown restrictions by allowing Bristol City forwards to enter opponents penalty areas.

Commentator just now ‘it’s thought that the lack of a crowd should help Bristol City’!
There can’t be many clubs whose fans are so pathetic that it’s beneficial not to have them there!

Commentator just now ‘it’s thought that the lack of a crowd should help Bristol City’! There can’t be many clubs whose fans are so pathetic that it’s beneficial not to have them there! My best mates a City fan and he told me the same the other week. I've never come across a group of supporters that believe that are something which they are not. It's like that they are a huge mega club like Leeds or to a lesser degree Sunderland, and have some right for success. They were like it in L1 for all those years whike stuck down here when Wilson,Tinnon etc were in charge. Now it's just the same, but I'm the championship. What Pantsdown has done for that club is very impressive given what they had before.New stadium, top training ground, championship football each year and on the verge of the premiership ( let's admit it's going to happen sooner than later) We have a smaller core of our fanbase that have sadly become the same over the past 15 years or so, and if we ever became like them and there negative fan base I don't think I would want to go watch us as much. But In all fairness we have had nothing spent on us (until the last few weeks😂) compared to them so we have a far bigger case to moan then they do given we share the same City and share the same potential for growth.
