As a football club director I thought it was manadatory that you were not allowed to bet on any matters involving the club ? If I were to vote for you would you give me that undertaking you would abide by that rule going forward? What a pathetic, sh**-stirring swipe. Clearly change is not welcomed by the old guard. I read that question with my tongue firmly in cheek. I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt the vitriol in it. It seemed a question asked with too much blind anger and jealously for me to take it seriously. Seems I was wrong. What a Dam question mind. "Can you promise me you won't make a bet down the bookies if you're on the directors board" Wow. What a Dam question

What a f**king question A perfect example of why change is needed if that's how the SC great and good conduct themselves. What's really sad is I bet there are loads of great people who work in the name of the SC who would be appalled by the behaviour of a handful of people. My guess is that the majority are not like this and are just decent Rovers fans who want the club to succeed.

I have joined and spoken to David Thomas and had it confirmed I am eligible to stand. As a football club director I thought it was manadatory that you were not allowed to bet on any matters involving the club ? If I were to vote for you would you give me that undertaking you would abide by that rule going forward? I hate to add clout to your comment. But you do realise those of ill refute don't generally own up to it at the behest of a forum user? GT: "Promise me you won't inside trade" KW "Oh well I was going to, but now you've asked I guess I should own to it outright. Yes, I was going to sign up and apply for the board for specifically inside trading down the bookies. But seeing as you've asked me in a public forum, I guess I should promise I won't. Pinky promise" (Don't mean to put words in your mouth there KW) Right, I'm up on the wrong side of bed. Coffee I think. As you were chaps

My guess is that the majority are not like this and are just decent Rovers fans who want the club to succeed. Very true. I don't even need to say I'd bet, that 99.9% of SC are just fans who follow the team, hop on the buses and cheer on the gas next to us on the terraces. It does seem that the lack of much communication from the SC over the years has allowed one or two prominent members to besmirch the whole idea. I actually feel guilty for having negative feelings towards the supporters club. How could I, a gashead, think a bunch of fellow gasheads are to be scorned? Out with the old guard!

Jesus wept. That is an appalling website and application process. You get the option to pay for membership, then it tells you you cant join because you haven't entered your details. I was never asked for them!! Then you get directed to the page where you do enter your details. Here you will have to click back EVERY SINGLE MONTH from today to your date of birth!! When you finally do that the payment options have changed from Googlepay to something completely different!! It's a f**king shambles. Oh, brilliant. I've just paid my membership only to find that my next membership payment is due in 2 days!!

You don’t pay upfront I don’t believe and then your first payment starts on the 1st July to save you paying twice.

I'm actually emboldened to get behind the team a bit more moving forward. Can't say I was down the mem much last season. Pay day next week gonna pop a few quid in to the SC. As others have said, best to change from within. Think I'm gonna sign up for a year of iFollow too. And time to get my little lad down to his first football too. (As and when). I'm on the bus lads, UTG!

Perhaps some of the issues constantly raised over the last 30 years I can remember being a supporter that have never made it from the supporters to the club and vice versa - facet of operation that you'd think the SC was made for - are what could potentially be keeping people from buying a ST. Why hasn't anybody mentioned the leaking toilets to the club? Why haven't they ever been fixed? You'd think a 'Supporters Club' would hear those cries, and maybe try and get an answer from the club. Well, they still aren't fixed. Could be why people are reluctant to spend hundreds of pounds to stand in other people's water. I don't know, just a start. I for one would vote these too had they never purchased a season ticket in their lives. They seem to have more to say about the club in the last week than the SC has ever effected in change. For me, that counts a lot.

Hi, yes I was a ST last year and I will be again this year. As I am sure you can understand the current climate has held me back from renewing as I am on furlough from work. I have however donated last seasons refund back to the club and was surprised to see my name in the video that circulated around with the names of the first 100 people to do so

For those who are thinking of a mass sign up on July 1st you had better check supporters club rule 8.2 which only allows entrance to AGM for the season to which it relates.

Unless I am misunderstanding the process set out in the rules, the vote is done by post vote isn’t it? Before the AGM and all members are entitled to a ballot paper
