For those who are thinking of a mass sign up on July 1st you had better check supporters club rule 8.2 which only allows entrance to AGM for the season to which it relates. EDIT-Duplicate post

Unless I am misunderstanding the process set out in the rules, the vote is done by post vote isn’t it? Before the AGM and all members are entitled to a ballot paper I've been reading over the exact wording the last few minutes myself. I understand it as the AGM is wrapping up end of season 19/20, so membership will need to be inside the same seasons window, up to July 1st. If I've made that out correctly that is

As a existing supporter club mememer before i vote for you can I ask are you slam and kingswood both season ticket holder for the last and next season. I am a season ticket holder (I renewed the 2020/21 ST back in April) and I was a S/T holder last year too. I have been a gashead since the mid 60's. I joined the BRSC last week after much thought about the current situation, specifically so that I would be eligible to apply for these posts. If I have missed any other questions, please let me know. I do still need a proposer and seconder, if anyone is willing to support me. I understand that that might be difficult as nobody really knows me except through posting on here. That is the problem with an anonymous forum but I will obviously answer personal questions if you want to PM me. EDIT: I missed the bit about betting on Football - I don't do that!!!

Probably needs clarification as although it is done by postal vote the rule 5.11 details that where an election is required details are sent out with AGM notice as per rule 8.2 (ie current season members )

I'm confused - do we need to join before 1st July in order to be eligible to vote? I don't mind if I only get 2 days membership, as long as I get a vote.

The site says 'First renewal 1st July' rather than first payment, so I wonder whether we'd be paying twice in three days. And if so, does that make a difference to eligibility to vote? My guess would be that you only need to be a member when you cast your vote. Hopefully a member of the club will be along here to explain stuff a bit better, rather than just to ask snide questions of outsiders.

I was concerned about my eligibility to stand for the exact same reasons so asked David and this was his response. “No not at all. It was done to prevent you (and others) from having to pay twice.“ So I guess that you should be entitled to vote, as I’ve said elsewhere though I would clarify albeit it’s worth joining for the cost of a pound a month just in case you wish to vote on any similar matters in the future.

Ok, here's an issue: From the SC rules: 5.9 Any person wishing to stand for election, including those persons wishing to stand for re-election, must be nominated and seconded by two current BRSC members. Any such nomination must be made to the Secretary by the end of the financial year in the prescribed format (See sections 7.1 and Appendix E). 7.1 The BRSC financial year shall end on 30th June each year. Appendix E is a nomination formn found in the rules: bristolroverssc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/brfc_rules.pdfIt's the 29th June.

What's your issue though AF, whether you can stand for one of the positions or vote in any elections, I'm not sure it's clear regarding the latter but I assume it'll be next season's members who can vote rather than last season's? I wondered why there was various references to the old Kingswood shop on the form, then realised the reason when I got to the end: "Approved at BRSC Annual General Meeting Dated: 24th September 2009"

Halifax, Many thanks - I would be very grateful. If possible, please will you PM me your full name, BRSC member number and Address. As far as I can see these are all the information required of a proposer and seconder. At the moment, I am assuming that they will accept details by e-mail as it is so difficult to get "paper forms" signed and submitted due to the Lockdown (ish) PS I will also let you have mmy details by return.

I have been having a good think over the weekend. I have levelled a fair amount of criticism at the SC over the last year or so. Part of me thinks that they wouldnt want me around, but also part of me thinks I should put my money where my mouth is if I want real change around the club. I have also always maintained that the SC has some brilliant members and volunteers does some fantastic work behind the scenes and its those people that have been tarred with a brush they probably had no part of to begin with.
So, providing I get someone to propose and second me, I too will throw my hat in to the ring.
If anyone would like to do so then please PM me.
For the qualification questions that were suggested before, I'm a season ticket holder, I'm not a gambler and previously have supported the club in other ways such as advertising and match sponsorship.
