Strange how for years the gov have been paying to exterminate badgers en masse . Now we are protecting them... Apparently Lansdown bought the exclusive rights to kill badgers on U.K. soil, strange if true!

What are we building in the fourth picture, even more pitches?

What are we building in the fourth picture, even more pitches? It's a reservoir to store water from, and for, the pitches. I may have got the size and shape of the reservoir a little out, but the future layout should look something like this.

If we were to go for a covered pitch the more usual form is a PVC fabric on lightweight steel trusses, I.e. a “rigid tent” structure,...lol. Fortuitously, the internationally renowned company who provided the indoor pitches at St. George’s and the David Beckenham Football Academy is a former Bristol company, Architen Llandrell, who are now based in Chepstow.

Any idea what that would cost? I would guess you wouldn't get much change from £1m. I see Bristol Rugby have a half pitch under cover, the whole site cost £11.5m. "The new facility will include a two-storey steel-framed training pavilion containing a gym, changing rooms, two hybrid grass pitches (one of which is floodlit), S&C and medical facilities, and office accommodation for the club’s staff. The project also includes a 4,000m² indoor training barn."

If you get to do that in it then I might get one for my garden - see if the missus gets in the mood

I think we should leave this little luxury alone. The last thing we need is the lads too scared to play in a bit of rain! Now, that makes sense for the pampered 82'ers, but I'd like to think we are real men?
