I did some coaching up at Sheffield Wednesday’s training ground a couple of years ago and they have one of those domes. It’s awesome.

Looks like training ground will be fantastic. Let's round this off with positive news on new stadium!

Visited the quarters last Thursday around 10:15 am saw a few of the lads in their training kits in the car park, pulled away just in time to see Sammy Nicholson turn up, seems like 10:30/11 might be a good sort of time to catch them up there

Just seen the drone film on twitter and things are taking shape very nicely.
Something we can all be proud of when finished. Thanks Wael.

Just a crying shame we could not have built a 15-20'000 capacity Stadium next to the Quarters, as its in a fantastic location regards motorway access N, E, W & S
NEVER MIND HEY! 😟😶😤

Just in case no-one fancies hunting back through the club’s Twitter feed. It really will be a great facility. The gym is a lot bigger than I imagined.

It really will be a great facility. The gym is a lot bigger than I imagined. Not all of it is the gym. The two bays nearest the clubhouse hold the groundsmen’s equipment and the final bay is the physio’s room. The gym forms the central 60% or so of the building - about 20m by 8m, which is still a fair size.

From the plans it seemed to me to be a little small even for just the first team. Is it larger in real life?

From the plans it seemed to me to be a little small even for just the first team. Is it larger in real life? It's 27m across by 27m deep. It gets rather lost when viewed from the air in the middle of a 27 acre site. As a rough comparison, I live in a semi detached house. The clubhouse is the same width as two pairs of modest 70s semis plus the driveways between them. I am sad enough to have measured them to check. As the original design included eight changing rooms for rugby union teams (obviously 15 players per team), I think there will be enough room for the first team and the development squad. We've never been told how many changing rooms there are (other than in the plural), so at least two and from Wael's blurry phone image, maybe three. I'm inclined to think that they will need a 3G pitch and another grass pitch before moving other teams to the site. Certainly there is no chance of the academy moving there without either an extension to the building, or a separate one.

There is the capacity to extend the clubhouse on each side as and when required from a Facebook post I posted in Feb:- The Quarters Almondsbury- just had a chat with a charming man at the training ground- was very in the know on the site. The ground works behind the clubhouse is for the reservoir and they have also drilled a bore hole too so will provide a lot of the water required.
There is a badger set on site so have to protect this.
The clubhouse can be extended on both sides idc and an artificial pitch will be installed in due course on the land to the left of the car park as you go in. Clubhouse roof should be tiled in next couple of weeks and in time there will be small property built for the caretaker.
Also will put pathways all round the circumference of the ground .
Lovely of him to take the time to talk - social distancing did apply . Just researched and it was Shaun Roberts I was speaking to Rovers ops manager !

Fitting out of the club house continues. Yesterday and today hedge inside the fence along the road grubbed out and area being a landscaped with topsoil from the other side of the site. Not a lot else going on as far as can be seen.

All set for a decent pre-season whatever division we are in. No excuses about facilities.

Passed earlier. Activities at a low level. One of the on-hire excavators gone, Abbott's own one hasn't worked for weeks. The one remaining one engaged on purely landscaping with topsoil. Not much on the club house. Sprinklers were working. Looking like purely cosmetic stuff going on at present, but I passed a bit early. Maybe things will accelerate later.

I walk the dog around that area most days, what a nice place, if there was a pub or 2 and a Tescos sort of shop I'd be seriously looking at buying a house around there.

They’re all in today - the car park is rammed - but not too many on the pitches. Perhaps they’re all having a meeting !!!
