Passed it this morning & spoke to an 'ITKer'. Abbott's have vacated the site and won't be back until August. (They're currently working in Brighton.) Fitting out of the club house continues slowly. Wael, Starnes, Karim and JB were there yesterday. Probably already known, but it's a 10 year project.

A small shed for a gym, a couple of pitches and a clubhouse designed 20 years ago that is smaller than most peoples living rooms?
Yet people lap it up? How disappointing. They were probably better off where they were, at least the gym they were using although not ours wasnt a total embarrassment.
Just imagine what the Sh1!heads think.

I bet you’re fun at parties You think he gets invites? More bullying I see from the Barton in lot. Yet surprisingly there are several threads, complaining about the bickering going on? All I did was click on the thread and state my view only for it to get jumped on. Double standards.

Double standards, I would call you a dick as a moderator has indicated to me that it is somehow alright to do, but I’m above that. Barton in lot? Didnt realise i was a member of this exclusive club. lighten up ffs.

I've not seen inside, but I've been told it's quite impressive. The construction of is lightweight - all the easier to extend or replace it. It is after all for professional footballers who train in the open, so as it keeps the rain off, wind out, it doesn't really need to be built like a medieval castle.

Perfection is the enemy of good enough. We'll grow into it over time and when funds and necessity allow, there will be incremental improvements.

I have two decent size sheds and a living room. It would appear from what you are saying I'm not doing very well as none of them are as big as the new clubhouse and gym. As regards what the Sh1!heads think, I don't care a toss!

Bring back the glory days of training in the grounds of a chocolate factory where the pitches were often under water and the managers office floated across the fields!!!

Considering the Quarters is the first training ground Rovers have owned since being forced to sell Hambrook to help towards balancing the books nearly 40 years ago, I don’t think it’s a bad development with plenty of scope to improve in the future unless you got a few milllion you could offer to aid the project.

Oh dear. I'm sure if you offer Wael a further 4 - 5 million as a further investment into his substantial capital investment he might let you choose the colour of the wallpaper as well
As far as I can see this is an improvement on anything that has preceded it at any point in the club's history.
Therefore it is by definition an improvement, even if it is a 20 year old teeny tiny wee venture with a posh shed to train in..........
I really do despair at this forum and the mentality that appears to have been given a voice, but hey, it's a forum.

That's not strictly true. The Quarters is owned by a separate company to Bristol Rovers although both have the same owners just the same as Geoff Dunford owning Bristol Rovers and The Beeches when we trained there.

Owned by Dwayne sports int it? No doubt they’ll sell it, recoup the profits and do a runner when the loose change in Waels money jar runs out. You dont get honest, loyal supporters like Geoff as owners any more.
