Macleod and May different types of midfielder. Macleod more attacking and a better player Only better for a team who wants an attacking CM, we need a defensive one now that Ogogo's been told to find a new club. Which says to me the claim from EFLTRANSFERTALK (james246) That we "could also make a move if they weren’t to go for Adam May" a bit fanciful.

EFLTRANSFERTALK @transfernewsefl · 5m Lewis Macleod is a target for Plymouth Argyle, Bristol Rovers could also make a move if they weren’t to go for Adam May. Macleod has just signed for Plymouth

As talented as any midfield player in level 3 football wow ! that's a statement. Only player 11 times for Wigan last season, although that was in the Championship. Plymouth are good odds on Sky bet. 50/1 to win the league and 16/1 to gain promotion. Got Mayor as well who is a good player and sometimes teens that go up carry that momentum. Not saying they will go up, but certainly worth a few quid at that odds.

EFLTRANSFERTALK @transfernewsefl · 36m A few League one clubs are also interested in Abu Ogogo, Northampton are one of them. Sad that Abu is leaving. Him and JCH kept us up the season before last when we looked doomed. He's a Keith Curle type player and will give them a fighting chance of staying up. Northampton don't have the 2 strikers or 2 CB's who finished last season. Big rebuild job for them.

Fair points regarding Henderson and you're probably right, as he wouldn't have to move house. Chris Martin is a good shout if affordable, but another one that probably doesn't suit the so called 'recruitment model'. Ross McCormack will probably be dropping down to league one this season. A free agent and at 33, would get goals at this level. Signed for Aldershot. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54204947

Unreal signing for them. I thought he would end up at League one level minimum. He missed training sessions at Aston Villa, one of his excuses was that the electric gates at his house wouldn't open - Steve Bruce queried as to why he couldn't climb over a 4' 6" fence to get out. Doesn't sound like he'd be a great example to a young squad.

RM wasted his talent and ability through ill discipline. Perhaps he learned his lesson but it has cost him a shot at playing elite level football. Could have easily played in the prem.
