No doubt many people will now turn around and say Eddie Howe is not capable of managing at Premier League level. If/when Sheffield United eventually start struggling, people will say Chris Wilder isn't capable of managing at Premier League level.
The fact is most managers aside from the truly elite, are unable to maintain success year after year, and eventually it goes stale or they make some dodgy signings that upset the balance of the squad, and it goes downhill. DC is not alone in that, and I agree in hindsight that it was the right time to make a change, but that's only because of the excellent job GC did in keeping us up afterwards. I do not agree that L1 was/is beyond DC, just in the same way as I would not agree that the PL is beyond Eddie Howe.
One bad season and a few bad signings do not re-write history.

Great manager. Dont think many would have taken us back into league football straightaway. Sad how it ended as I do believe a shirt break would have done him the world of good. My fear is garner has his hands on the future and that is worrying
