I can’t see how that will be financially viable for any club

I will be interested in watching via ifollow as long as the percentage that goes to Rovers is favourable enough. The home team must take the lions share so probably wouldn’t watch many away games.

Beggars the question; can I register for iFollow (maybe using different email names with each participating L1 Club) and then log in and watch when they play at the Mem? Assuming iFollow relaxed so can view weekend matches? UTG See gaschat.co.uk/post/635236 earlier in this thread. Thank you. I had read that before and reading it again seems to answer above. Maybe they are waiting so as not to affect season ticket sales at clubs? Maybe the age looking at additional options like more than 1 camera, replays, pre match, etc. That is make it like a TV presentation. UTG

To be honest I've saved a bloody fortune not watching rovers, apart from stress, depression and the chance you could be stood next to bolders in the bogs!!

UTG We had replays last season, having 1 camera at the Mem was never a problem, anyway if we start having multi cameras, pre-match interviews and a production team we won't make any money at £10 per head!

I bought a season ticket (senior terrace) back in April thinking Covid would finished for next season. I'm now not sure I'm prepared to go to games even with social distancing. I wonder if the club could offer an Ifollow exchange on a game by game basis.

Any idea how many season tickets have been sold? May be no space for anyone else if numbers are already up to the threshold

I sense for at least our first fixture it could well be limited to season ticket holders, as it will be chaos just trying to even fit them into various sections of the ground.

On another note could we organise for it to be 17% in each stand rather than as a total? There is enough room to get people into the stands and out again via a simple one way system. We also have the away end to play with and more of the South Stand. I am awful at Maths, does that increase our attendance or not? I know it’s an FA guideline so we can’t make it up as we go along but just a thought. I’m guessing the boxes are fooked as the corridor is really narrow. They could open up one of the fire exits at the South end though and operate a one way. Anyway it’s a ball ache huh?

I made it 1501 by getting one at the last minute for that very reason.

Will they allow iFollow in this country for home & away Saturday games? At least that way the club would be getting some money in if people can't attend. I think Gorringe mentioned something in the pipeline for streaming service- usual rules about no 3pm Saturday tv matches is temporarily lifted

Fans who had refunds and were waiting to pay for season ticket with refund were waiting for emails which were sent out that week? So I would suggest at least double that with all the other pressures, so probably 3,333 as 1/3 ? LOL UTG

Thanks for sharing that Topper interesting read. I would hazard a guess that if those seating arrangements are used in the seats at the mem, there will be less than a thousand seats that can be used on a match day. When people are allowed in attendance of games again, this will be a real problem as many can't stand up for 90 minutes and need a seat to comfortably watch the game.

I guess that's one of the issues the club will have to resolve , who definitely needs a seat, who's in a family/social bubble etc. Given we've the 5 stands hopefully they can fit every stand season ticket holder in somewhere, although the issues will come if they have to move West/East Stand ticket holders to one of the tents after they paid for a more expensive season ticket. I sense TG and co will be busy for most of August and September working things out.

More information: Coronavirus: Entire 2020-21 English football season could be played in reduced capacity stadiums - www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/53556072Why don't they just ban chanting and singing until a vaccine is found? I'd sooner 5,000 be allowed into the Mem and all we can do is clap than 3,000 being allowed to chant/sing, chances are they won't if your all stood a metre plus apart anyway. If coughing & squeezing spreads the virus then shouting "F off ref" at the top of your voice must do the same?

On planes in a confined space with air conditioning which is about the worse thing for spreading germs people are expected to sit next to each other with a face covering, so surely in stadiums which are more open, sitting close to each other could be allowed even if there has to be an empty seat between each fan. i would of also thought that fans that cannot use their seat for every match would be allowed to stand elsewhere. May try to contact the club in the next few days to get feedback on what the club are planning

It was on Radio 4 this morning ( I dont like Radio 4 but they wind me up so much I get up and switch it off) However the minister of sport has said that it is unlikely that stadiums will be allowed to be full for at least another year.
