Bad news for Josh Barrett. Pulled his hamstring apparently. Makes a change from too much pulled pork.

Normally at this stage of pre season is all about fitness. A lot of the time they do heavy training the day before the game, even on the day of the game, when we kick off later. So not surprising that any player's look leggy, especially one that will be training more than he has for years. OK, what I meant by leggy in this case is ungainly and awkward, he didn’t move like a professional footballer. I believe there is work to be done. Hopefully the coaching staff can improve him to an acceptable level. A bit like Devon White then

Bad news for Josh Barrett. Pulled his hamstring apparently. I said that at the time. Happens a lot when a player gets a bit fitter. He was sprinting down the line and his hamstrings would have been stretching more than they are used to. Seen it happen a lot and it's happened to me a few times. Shame as that will set him back.

Shame.
Lets hope it's just a tweak or a strain.
If it's a pulled or teared Hamstring then he'll be out for at least another 6-8 weeks.

A bit leggy and you would say he didn't look like a professional footballer. Hard to judge as it will effect your movement big time. Especially bigger player's. Won't judge him until I see him playing, when he's fresh and can move more freely.

Came on at half time and played roughly where Upson did in the first half.
Didn't really stand out for being particularly good or bad.
Today Grant was no more than 6/10 whereas Upson would have been an 8.
I'm sure there is more to come from Grant as he settles into life at Rovers.

Garner said post match that a couple of players have been told they can leave. I think we all know Bennett is one of them but who is the other? You would think it was probably someone who didn't feature today. I think we can rule out Tom Davies because nobody will sign a player who is out injured for 6 months. We can rule out Westbrooke. So am I right in thinking that just leaves Ogogo?
Of course I could be wrong, it might turn out to be someone who played today.

Strange, no subs today?
Barrell went off without replacement, yet there were players available (JML, Westbrooke, Ogogo, youth) so we had to end with 10 men..?

Daly and others were warming up to come back on. Then Garner shouted don't worry we will finish with 10 and you heard him shout out further instructions. Think he thought it would be practice for if we go down to ten during the season.

Far too early to judge, but at least the players seemed to know what they were supposed to be doing today - in the past we've played like 11 men who've never even met each other before kick off.

For me Upson looked really good, also Kilgour impressed and Ehmer was calm an solid. I felt Jonah had more about him in the second half than James Daly did in the first, Rodders and Little looked lively. All in all hard to draw any conclusions from the game

All in all hard to draw any conclusions from the game Daly was playing on the wing for most the half though, so hard to compare the 2.
