Yeah, I'd say enough is enough. Get rid. Get Mansell in there until someone better shows up.

And pick up GC on the way? no there are plenty of better managers than gc who are out of work at the moment That was meant to be in fun but I guess we didn't pick up the joke? There may be better managers but we need a manager who is lucky first and can win games with whatever players he has? GC did that!! I think the point most people missed out upon, especially at L1 level, is that a good manager can make most players, inherited or not, work for him. You do not need to go out and buy a new squad? Unless you are in the Premier League or looking to go that way.

Listening to that interview made me so angry, 5 minutes of him saying it was all the refs fault. Shocking interview and excuses. It's a failed experiment. We were (for the most part) awful today as we have been (for the most part) since the day he came in.

Poor run of results since last season, poor interviews, dress sense not great, where do we go from here?

I honestly don't think he's going anywhere. Can't see Wael acting yet and he isn't going to chuck the towel in.
The ill feeling is palpable now though.

3 difficult games at the start.
Ok next 6 games will decide. 6 points = relegation. 12 point promotion form.
Less than 9 points he has to go.

The premier league want to have u23 teams in the EFL. Bg has effectively built a premier league u23 side topped up with home growns and some lower league youngsters. As with the EFL trophy the kids teams dont fair that well . The team is full of potentially good players (which they all are). But its potential and they have no experienced heads to carry them through games. Having kilgour essential perform a wing back role is daft. Traditionally the worst passers of the ball in the team are centre backs, BG is building his passing games on centre backs passing the ball around for 30-40 seconds before someone panics and launches it. All the players are young and make mistakes so I wont be hard on them as individuals. Bg has built a team of talented youngsters who will definitely get to the league 2 playoffs at least. Are fans prepared for that huge step back to come forward again ? Will the players confidence survive that long ? Can BG see there is a difference between what he wants to do and what needs to be done ? He still has time to get things going the right way...about 5 weeks in my reckoning. This team of youngsters would get annihilated playing this way in league 2. Just like it is in league 1 [br I was basing it on winning games against exeter & Newport, drawing with walsall and narrowly losing to fgr in preseason kick arounds. So assumed they could finish top 7.

I'd give him to the end of October. Seven games with only 2 against teams that have started well. Five against mostly lower teams.
Not unreasonable to expect 3 Wins, 2 Draws, 2 Losses.
That would give us W3, D3, L4 from our first 10 games and for me he then stays.
Anything less and he needs to go.

LDLDLLLLDLLLDWLLLWLLDLL Says it all. That’s got to be the worst record of any manager in Rovers history. In league history surely? How can you get worse than two sodding wins? Even a fan could do better than that!

I suggest he has to go now to give someone else a chance to bring a couple of experienced players in to shore things up

That’s got to be the worst record of any manager in Rovers history. In league history surely? How can you get worse than two sodding wins? Even a fan could do better than that! Experienced managers usually go back to basics in these situations and it normally picks up , if the manager still has the players backing. 4-4-2 keep it simple pick up some points ffs. The players we have suit a back four with wingers and 2 up front more than they suit 3 at the back formations and they also suit a more direct approach than a slow paced build up with zero tempo relying on the players to play short accurate passes in their own half under pressure. Westbrooke aside I don’t think any of them are capable of that, and to be honest i find him similar to bennet in that he slows it down and plays a 5 yard pass to the nearest teammate. His free kicks are good but what we need is someone who’s going to put a through ball in not pass it sideways 5 yards, he might be that player if we played with tempo and went for the jugular like all good league 1 sides seem to and Doncaster today did but we appear to play with the tempo of Man City when they’re passing a side to death in a 4-0 win over someone like Burnley. Problem is we’ve got very few good footballers , we’re not one of the best teams in our league and That kind of football just isn’t going to get results for a team like us in this division. I realise Garner has no league 1 experience but I would have thought he’d have watched plenty from last season and others to get to grips but he’s got all the signs of a manager who doesn’t understand league 1 teams, refs, managers and tactics. Completely lost is what he looks.
