Jaakkola 8.5 m o m saved us a few times.
Kilgour 6.5 steady.
Ehmer 7 well captained.
Harries 6.5 ok.
Little 6.5 better.
Grant 7 some nice interceptions and working with Westy.
Westbrooke 7.5 best of mid and got back to defend.
Leahy 8 one of his best performances. Great pen.
Nicholson 6 ok.
Hanlan 7 nice debut.
Mitchell-Lawson 6.5 ok. Not too keen on over theatrics with going down.
Subs: Ayunga 7.5 I liked his selfie shot.
Hargreaves 6.5 ok.
Tutonda 6 stuck to his task.
Ref 4 generally got the small things right but 2 howlers actually helped the home team. (Non second booking and 8 mins non paid overtime)
Sunderland 7 a sound test for us and we stood up to the challenge by riding our luck and some dogged defending.
All in all much better.
I still think we're too lightweight going forward. We don't keep possession like we set out to do and I haven't seen anything from BG to see he knows how to change a match by introducing players. Ogogo would have thrived today imo, we needed a bit of bite in mid, but he appears to be on gardening leave.

Jaakkola 8 great to have him back Kilgour 7 much better Ehmer 7 one excellent clearance that the commentator said was Leahy Harries 7.5 gave much more balance at the back Little 7 did well but little going forward Grant 6 good first half. bit overrun second half Westbrooke 6 like to see him more on the ball in the attacking third, that's still to come hopefully Leahy 7 good game but like little not much going forward Nicholson 5 ok not much to work with Hanlan 6 good game, like to see him with Ayunga who looks better in the air Mitchell-Lawson 6 works his socks off Subs: Ayunga 5 Hargreaves 4 Tutonda 6 Ref Sunderland |

Jaakkola 9 a commanding performance,welcome back Jaakks ! Kilgour 7 looked much more comfortable today Ehmer 7.5 marshalled the defence well, a proper captains performance. Harries 8 superb, he didnt get bullied and has a few dark arts in his locker! Little 7.5 2 vital blocks to cap probably his best display in a Rovers shirt. Grant 6,5 didnt do much wrong but needs to get more involved Westbrooke 6.5 similar to Grant, they just need to up the workrate a bit. Leahy 7 a solid game with some strong tackles. a text book penalty. Nicholson 5 flitted in and out, not his sort of game. Hanlan 7 led the line well, strong ,quick and looks a great prospect. Mitchell-Lawson 7.5 a constant thorn in the home sides defence which resulted in some robust treatment. Subs: Ayunga 7 a good cameo, he gets better with every game and came so close with a great effort late on with an chance he carved out for himself leaving three defenders flat-footed in his wake. Hargreaves 6 a high energy short spell to help shore us up when we were under the cosh. I think this is how he will be used this season. Tutonda N.o.l.e Ref 3 Bottled it !! Sunderland 7 they will be up there at the death. a good side sprinkled with the usual nastiness that is a hallmark of all Parkinsons teams |

Leahy had a superb game along with Little. Jakko was MoM for us. Grant maybe a 6 and Sunderland a 7.5 because they did try hard and played quite well but could not deliver the end product. Not a dirty game with no bad fouls bar the Dobson on JML late one which was probably frustration? |

Kilgour 7 Better than of late
Ehmer 7 Good steady performance
Harries 7.5 The best option on the left of a back three. Baldwin looks better in the middle of the back three but not as good there as Ehmer.
Kilgour better on the right.
Little 7.5 Best performnce for Rovers
Grant 5 Disappointing
Westbrooke 7.5 Very skilful
Leahy 7.5 Great penalty. Defended well but no attacking threat
Nicholson 5 Disappointing
Hanlan 6.5 Good first game. Good movement and pace.
Mitchell-Lawson 6 Good in patches
Subs: Ayunga 6 Lacked support but did ok
Hargreaves 4 Disappointing. Less effective than Nicholson
Tutonda 5.5 Did okish

Kilgour 6 Better defensively, distribution needs work.
Ehmer 6 Steady, won most balls played his way.
Harries 7 looks promising much improved from recent.
Little 7 lacks pace but defended brilliantly.
Grant 6 worked tirelessly
Westbrooke 6 looking forward to watching him this season. Neat and tidy.
Leahy 8 Best performance I have seen from him. Great penalty.
Nicholson 5 didn’t get into the game. Can see he has quality though.
Hanlan 7 pace, power, trickery and can hold the ball up. Very good debut.
Mitchell-Lawson 6 very direct first half and caused problems with his pace.
Subs: Ayunga 5 one moment of great play to beat his man and shoot. Felt he could of ran more to close down.
Hargreaves 4 lost his man in lead up to goal and never got into the game
Tutonda. 6 covered for the injured Leahy very well
Ref 4 very poor, bottled Bailey-Wright sending off, gave a lot Sunderland’s way and I also think got the red card wrong!
Sunderland 5 wasn’t overly impressed, will need to improve a lot of the are you get promotion
