So there you go Oldie. Impeccable sources for you to read, and I'm sure not ones you would disdainfully disregard as 'Rags' Any comment?

I saw no reference to Barbados and influencing the Government there to proclaim a Republic and ditch Elizabeth as head of state. Maybe I missed it, in which case you will point me to the text in that article Stuart posted a link to. Cue silence

But he will not say...

But he will not say... Aha! Marxist tendencies coming to the fore. They also like to burn books they don't agree with. Stuarts references substantiate the fact that China has used these methods to gain traction in a number of countries, as you very well know, so stop trying to be clever and fudge the issue because it highlights facts you're not comfortable with. I told you the Barbados matter was referred to in an article in the ST. I also remember seeing it referred to in The Mail. I really don't care if you don't want to believe me, or respond by dismissing the reference points as 'rags' After all, you're the La La Man. So I would expect you to put your fingers in your ears, squeeze your eyes tightly shut and sing la la la la la. Its what Marxists always do.

You do make me laugh Oldgas You had said you thought you had read that China had coerced Barbados into becoming a Republic, but could not link to the article, although you thought it was the Telegraph. Stuart posts up a link to an article in the Diplomat which is a good summary of China's economic strategy, but makes no mention of coercion in Barbados. You then offer that up as evidence, when clearly it's no such thing. I did Google your claims, and yes they were made in rubbish like the Sun, Daily Star and the Mail. Enough said The Telegraph actually had a very good article about republicanism in the Caribbean, quoting that this had been agreed in 1998. But of course you had not read that. So the truth is you read sh**, repeat sh** on here and throw around labels such as Marxist like confetti. That is the sum total of your contribution to debate. You are sir, from one older man to another, An Idiot.

You know perfectly well the reason I drew your attention to the links Stuart posted was because they illustrated China's modus operandi in these matters. I never claimed they referred to Barbados, as you also very well know. The fact is China is an avaricious super state that is gaining influence in all parts of the world. If you don't want to believe that then carry on, I really couldn't care less. I do not read the Sun or the Star. I consider them to be little more than than comics. The way they are written is, I think, an insult to the very people who read them. I read the Mail online and buy the Sunday Telegraph. The Mail may not be to your political taste, however it is by far the most read on-line paper so if you wish to denigrate those that read it then you are insulting several million people on a daily basis. If you're happy to do that then good on you. So the truth is you are prepared to insult several million people on a daily basis becuse of the online paper they read. As the Sun and Star are aimed at the traditional working class, those you claim to associate with and champion, you claim are happy to read sh1t. Doing well, aren't you? Fortunately I only take the water out of the Marxist types who read the Socialist Worker, so that's about 10 people a day. None if it's before 1000am because they haven't got up then to collect their dole money. I like being called an idiot by people like you. It means I am annoying you. La la la la la!

If you are not techy enough then I have got you confused with someone else (I thought I knew you). I googled it to see where Oldgas obtained his information...because it would be informative. But he will not say... Never mind the smoke and mirrors re-direction Oldie. What answer do you have for this independent statement that China is behind Barbados’ decision to drop HM as head of state? And you had to google it to check out what I said? You’re supposed to be an avowed Marxist and you don’t know what China are doing? The CCP won’t be very happy with you comrade. Off to the re-education camp with him.

Barbados is over rated anyway. Maybe I’m biased but got to say I had a really good run ashore there thanks to a - ahem! - very friendly local person. But the Official Secrets Act precludes me from any further disclosures.....🤐 But, agree, can be a bit expensive. Preferred Tortola tbh. Cane Garden Bay...🌞🥃

He came over for a break and it went from a quiet Island to being the busiest place I've ever been. I lost count of black SUV's and 24 hr helicopters. Beaches lovely, but the rest of it, nothing special.
