Tough game but I’m optimistic we’ll put up a better fight against them than a few weeks ago with the home advantage, Anssi in goal, an improved back line and Hanlan up top. Gutted that I can’t be there to cheer the boys on but will tune into Ifollow to watch it as ever. COYB

Who? We’re they from Eastwick? That’s the ones, they played with a broom as opposed to the usual sweeper. Schoolboy error, glad there’s always someone on hand to point them out

To answer your original question, yes they did play in orange.

seems a bit quiet on here for match day? Tough one again today, hope lessons were learned following cup match ,if so we are capable of getting something from a game against another title contender. Thought they would win league last season but they faded so badly i am surprised the uninspiring manager kept his job, he is prob under more pressure than Ben to deliver this season.I think things are slowly coming together at Rovers with defence looking more solid and we have a couple options up front, with Gordon Bennett's voice booming down from above i think we can come away with another point which will be a good return from 2 tough openers,1-1! up the Rovers! It does seem quiet and it's a concern how many fans remain interested. I think the club have done really well to keep things ticking over. Like any business this period has been horrendous for the club. I just worry that it's a possibility the season could be wiped out, normal attendance wise. When we do resume how many fans will we have lost. That goes for every club of course. It would be interesting to see the ifollow attendances published to gauge interest over the season and make comparisons with other clubs. Would be interesting to see what ifollow attendances are like - I know that I've watched more matches and will do this season as it's on ifollow because normally with travel and family commitments on Saturdays and away games, I didn't have enough time to travel to the ground and watch the game and get back whereas watching at home I can still be there for the kids and switch on at kick off etc and off as soon as it's finished. So far I've watched most pre season games, both cup matches and Sunderland last week and will be watching us today. Quietly confident for this season and whilst I'm expecting a 1-1 draw today with us having learned from the cup game, l'm secretly hoping to nick a 2-1 win

Would happily take a point against one of the best sides in the league.
Ipswich had one of the best away records in L1 last season so it's without doubt one of the toughest home games we'll face, especially with no crowd.
A draw would definitely be a point gained in my opinion.
My heart says 1-1, my head says 0-2. I think we'll need to reproduce our performance in the first 45 at Sunderland and keep it going for the whole gameto avoid defeat.

There is always the prospect of teams starting slowly and/or under-estimating their opponents on the first day of the season and I think we profited from that last week. Ipswich have had a comfortable win in their first fixture and with us getting a notable point at Sunderland of all places they won’t want to under-estimate us and undermine their momentum. So on that basis I think we’re going to lose this week, not by much, mainly thanks to Jaakola.

I’m going one better than that. 3 - 1 Rovers. Show me the money! 😁

3-1 Gas win. If you can’t have blind confidence on your first home league game of the season when can you??

2-1 defeat. OK in little patches but mainly outthought by a more professional Ipswich side. Jaakkola keeps us in the game to make it interesting but not quite enough.

I will go for Ipswich to win 0-2, unfortunately I think they are stronger in all areas of the field .

As long as we put up a scrap, put them under pressure and are more savvy than we were at their place, fancy us for a point today which I think would be a cracking result.
