Pep Garner is ruining this club...end of. Anyone who cannot see that is, as RoverDrive suggests, deluded.

After 2 league games we were not expected to win against 2 teams who we are likely to be title contenders but coming away with a well earned point from one, a cup game we never do well in and again not expected to win and an unlucky point with a much changed side; everyone seems to be calling for Garner to go. I must be watching different games to everyone else as I've watched every game so far and our performances have been no where near as bad as being made out in my eyes. Yes we faded in the last 20 against ipswich yesterday but leading up to it we were more than competing and there was a particularly good passing play before the goal with nice 1 or 2 touch passing from back through midfield to front and you could clearly see what style were looking to play and it looked good. We are a young team mainly and they will take time to mature and grow together but we have good players and the team will come good - we just need a bit of time and patience! If Hanlon could of taken advantage of his early chance in the first half it could have been very different! People go own about last season but we were very very lucky to be in the position we were in when GC left and there is no way we would have sustained it.... we were playing turgid but effective defence first football and sneaking wins when on the balance of play we should have lost. I don't remember watching any games under GC where I thought we dominated and outplayed the opposition. GC leaves and BG comes in - yes he naively tried to change the style without the players which didn't work and it was our final game against Sunderland where it came together and I personally think if the season continued we would have seen much improved performances and more wins. I don't know about others but you try performing in your job when you have a severely sick loved one that is constantly on your mind and maintain focus etc. This what BG tried to do and this is because he didn't want us to not have a manager. No wonder we struggled! The players clearly rate him and his methods, his ethos is one that most people seem to be behind, he talks about lot of sense and yes so far this season we haven't got the results (except against Sunderland where we got a point that we would not normally expect to get) but I don't think we were ever expecting to get the results! How about we cut him some slack and give him a realistic amount of time - if the results aren't there after that (and I mean by end Nov) then I will be with you but to be calling for change now is I think premature. Can you explain why we're not expected to win against league contenders? It's the very start of a new season. We've got a newish young manager with his own players. They're two teams we beat last season. From everyone starting with zero points on the board what should we expect? Can you give me a list of the teams we are expected to beat so I know what to feel each game? Why did you watch the games if we're not expected to win? Exactly, best time to play them imo

TWO games in to the season ........................................
Anyone want to predict where Sunderland and Ipswich will finish this season ?
Get behind the team and the boss - long way to go. Signings are good. Young players emerging too.

We would finish bottom based on last season on both counts. We are getting relegated if we keep BG, Jaakkola is our only hope of staying up. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Signings are good. Young players emerging too. 2/20+ match wins! None away. Anyone want to predict where Stevenage, Walsall, Southend will finish this season? We couldn't beat any of them?! Signing on paper appear ok. If they're managed correctly. Young players are emerging. I fear for their development if an incompetent manager gets hold of them.

We may as well as write off all fixtures against teams that finished in the top half and teams that come down from the champ shall we?

Sunderland beat Oxford on Saturday so they are hardly a basket case, even if they were we lost to them on our previous two visits. Although are you seriously suggesting BG should be sacked after 2 league games? What if his replacement losses to Donny and Northampton, shall we sack him as well? As far as improvement for around 60 mins on Saturday we matched Ipswich so that's an improvement on the cup game? BG's been given a shocking fixture list for the start of the season were, in isolation, none of us would forecast we'd get better than a point or two from our first 4 games.

If BG was working in any other industry, he'd have been sacked ages ago.

Both basket case clubs we just bent over to both of them. Long way to go like you say, but where are signs of improving? As far as improvement for around 60 mins on Saturday we matched Ipswich Only in terms of the 0-0 scoreline. Jaak made two wonderful saves, and Little made a sublime goal line clearance. We hardly troubled their keeper at all with Hanlon effort saved and regulation catch from Upson. Ipswich were far more comfortable all match imo, but our manager made like for like changes and lost us the match. It isn't just 2 matches, is it? We've seen the same tactics and strategies for 20 odd games so it's no surprise that any team with pace and direct play will cause us problems because of the way we set up. But hey, give the guy with the worst stats in our history over 20+ games more time? Why not? What could possibly go wrong?

Oxford are an interesting case at the moment. Hoping for promotion to the Championship just a few weeks ago - now bottom of the league without a point or a goal scored. Haven’t been on their forum but I bet they’re clamouring for the manager to be sacked. Garner needs longer yet. Listen to Little’s interview for common sense.

I don't particularly like Karl Robinson, but I'd swap him with BG in a heartbeat..
