I will support BG until he’s no longer manager UTG but I don’t think he will last much longer 🤔

That's getting on for near 40 years ago pal. We've been bumbling around the bottom half of league 2 for most of the last 20 years and people have been lapping it up. Write everything off till Christmas then a relly scrap for the back half of the season. That's our tried and tested formula season in season out. Even when we went up in 2007 we were 15th in about March. He said historically. Didn’t define a particular era. I think 23 years of bottom half of league 2 counts as history don't you? What else would you call it?

Agree with Harley, as long as BG is manager he has my support, really hope he gets the 10 games and results have taken a significant turn for the better. if not it will be hard for him to continue.

Not sure what you are getting at. The Rovers I grew up with does not reflect his comment. The Rovers he grew up with may well do.

He should fall on his sword - oh hang on, that is likely to be blunt as well.

Yep. Keep it classy. The guy is still here and is only human. Unfortunately for me it’s time to make a change but thanks for trying. Unfortunately I don’t think pretty football is something that can be achieved in the lower leagues, consistently whilst also getting results. Based on his CV he’s clearly a very good coach and rated highly. Just can’t transfer that into management though. If it turns out we decide to recruit a new manager what's to stop us keeping Garner as a coach to work under the new man. He might find it demeaning. I think he would go

The Rovers I grew up with does not reflect his comment. The Rovers he grew up with may well do. I took his comment to mean that the culture of Rovers is historically to be happy to be second best. Rovers don't like winners. I've been watching Rovers since 1989 and have to say I can't disagree too much with that as a sentiment. Barring one season under Gerry and two under DC you can hardly see we've got the killer instinct of a club that demands winners. Sure we met adversity in losing Eastville and moving to Twerton but quite honestly, for me, that all forms part of the happy to be the underdog culture. The way I see it, all of this "give it ten more games" embodies that attitude perfectly. We don't demand the best performances, we're happy to let people get away with serving up rubbish and always be in 20th place in January. We'll literally never progress being in that cycle. The same cycle since 98.

The same cycle since 98. Who's the "Rovers don't like winners" comment referring to, as whenever we've been winners attendances have always increased? The GC era being an exception but that's probably down to Gasheads losing interest after DC left and the club generally seemed to be going nowhere. Typically when GC seem to be winning over fans support he quit! What I don't understand is what Wael's trying to build, is it a club which can challenge for promotion, or one where we just develop young players to sell on at a profit, if the latter are fans just going to tune in to iFollow/turn up to watch games if we're never going to make any progression.
