The 95% out figure is ridiculous! A large majority who write on this forum may be in favour of sacking BG but that only represents a small but vocal minority of Rovers supporters, the vast majority of which do not use these forums for the very reason of the kind of stuff being touted on here. The anti Colston brigade used the same rhetoric when they said the vast majority of Bristolians supported the statues toppling. What they mean.t was 11000 people signed a petition to that effect , 11000 out of a city of close on half a million, Hardly an endorsement of the action taken, The majority of Rovers Fans may well want change but 95% , no way. Why would any Rover fan not want BG replaced, he's been in the job 9 months and won 1 game on his own, Swindon have already won 3 in less than a month! BG was given a blank canvas this summer and he's put together a squad which would probably struggle in L2. I honestly don't think he's a clue how to manage at this level, whining about refs decision proves that, as we all know they are cr@p.

If that’s the best you can offer in response to “why would you not want Garner sacked?” then it says it all about the case for the defence. Just keep on clapping us back to the conference.

At present wael has not got to pay any heed to unhappy fans. He is literally paying for everything .There are no fans at games so no gate or bar money coming in. Which means he will give BG as long he thinks he deserves before results have to reflect the expenditure or that he thinks the plan is not going to work. Are you sure about this?

Wael sees the results I’m sure he will make his own decision, he’s aware of the danger of relegation, but you never know it could be Cotterill incoming, now there’s a thought..?.. Oh. Please NO ! Utg 💙

Out of interest how many games did you clap watching Rovers live last season, less than once?

In truth you will probably find that true supporters will be a lot,lot less than 95%. I would be surprised if it was greater than 30% want a Manager gone after 3 games! I imagine a lot if not most are willing to give him 10 games to see what his new team can do.

I imagine a lot if not most are willing to give him 10 games to see what his new team can do. So here’s the thing - and absolutely no disrespect to you Steve, as you are one of the most knowledgable, loyal and passionate Gasheads on here - but what exactly is a “true supporter?” Is it someone who, because they want the best for their club, will endure loss after loss and no perceptible improvement in the hope that, given enough time, it will all come good? Or is it someone who, after watching loss after loss and no perceptible improvement, wants to change the manager in the hope that if it’s done in time, it will all come good? At the very least we should All be able to agree that it’s ok to have differing opinions and leaning one way or the other doesn’t make you more or less of a “true supporter”. And for what it’s worth I don’t think it’s particularly disrespectful to poke fun at this or any manager - he’s making his position increasingly untenable and making himself look like a petulant adolescent after blaming the refs. He won’t be here much longer, but will will all still be here in our 40’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s etc as long as there’s the club to follow, so we all need to accept that we may disagree over stuff sometimes.

Agreed Stevek, but as with any issue its the 'vocal' minority who shout the loudest and make themselves heard, if after 10 games things have not improved then it well may be time for BG to get experienced help or depart.

Could be wrong but I think Steve is referring to the true level of support from the fan base as a whole rather than support from "true" supporters. As opposed to just those expressing an opinion on social media.

Leave Wael alone, he will know that many had enough of BG without hassling him on Twitter.

I didnt word that very well did I! What I meant to say that of the total support rather than us keyboard/facebook warriors. When it comes down to it we probably represent a small proportion of overall support and when people on here say that 95% of supporters want BG out I would say that is rubbish and much less.
