If BG is still here after 10 games AND things have not improved BG will need a lot more than "experienced help". Maybe the opposition could play without a goalkeeper? Would that make any difference? Seeing our average shots on target per game are 1.

The 95% out figure is ridiculous! A large majority who write on this forum may be in favour of sacking BG but that only represents a small but vocal minority of Rovers supporters, the vast majority of which do not use these forums for the very reason of the kind of stuff being touted on here. The anti Colston brigade used the same rhetoric when they said the vast majority of Bristolians supported the statues toppling. What they mean.t was 11000 people signed a petition to that effect , 11000 out of a city of close on half a million, Hardly an endorsement of the action taken, The majority of Rovers Fans may well want change but 95% , no way. Jeez.. bitter gammon still crying over a statue of their beloved slave trader being toppled. You would have thought they would have gotten over it now - it's in the past, let it go... Agree that determining Garner's support via a Facebook poll is not likely to be truly representative though - especially if it was shared in the immediate aftermath of the Doncaster game. I have largely backed BG since his appointment - and would probably have voted to have him sacked at the final whistle of that dismal display! But having slept on it (sobered up); I look at the first 3 league results and probably a point from them is about right when you consider where we expect to be this season (especially without JCH). But we really could do with a win this coming weekend.. as we will almost certainly lose to Oxford in the EFL Trophy next week (not that I particularly care for that competition) and then we have a tough away game at Lincoln - where we will be without Anssi Jaakola again People messaging Wael or not.. if we lose the next 3 games in all competitions then the pressure will be unreal.

There will come a time when even drawing isn't good enough. Under BG we couldn't beat teams below us! Now we're bottom... In any match (Sunderland apart) can anyone remember us dominating a team and/or deserving a win? Even Blackpool win had it's huge element of luck ie Alfie screamer, Ginnely deflection and opposition sending off! But hey, give it more time why not? We've wasted weeks and the transfer window is due to close next week.

I do agree with you though!

Having met wael he is as passionate as us, no need to bother him, he wants success as much as we do, and he is funding our dreams.
He will make decisions when pertinent, however to keep changing managers is a costly business, and so is relegation so timing is of the essence, UTG

I wonder how much keeping BG is costing the club a week, iFollow numbers will drop by around 500, from the 1,400 for the Sunderland game, so that's £5,000, I was going to buy a replica shirt as soon as the club did a free postage offer but gave that a miss over the weekend as too embarrassed to wear one at present, I wonder how many other fans felt the same as me?

In the absurd world of Bristol Rovers, using the prevailing logic Garner’s job is safe as long as we remain bottom of the table as we can’t realistically be expected to beat any of the teams above us because they are, quite obviously, better than us. Garner has played a master stroke.

Garner has played a master stroke. Heh.. yes similar to the logic of: "well of course we didn't do well against the first 3 teams we played - look where they are in the table compared to us!" Perhaps not taking into consideration the reason they are higher up in the table is BECAUSE they beat us..

My comment of "let it go" was quite clearly (I thought) a joke aimed at the irony of all the folks deeply upset at the statue being toppled (what he did was in the past "let it go") who are STILL banging on about it several weeks later. Let it go.

Let's end this political subthread, thanks, or I will move the entire thread to general chat, which would be a shame coz the majority of this thread belongs here.
