Trump will be out of the White House and someone can manage the Coronavirus situation who actually takes it seriously. That’s a big step forward for Americans. Got an awful feeling we'll see the idiot celebrating a 2nd term. It is bang on 50/50 at the moment imo Pensylvania is going to be the crucial state. Trump is still around 11 points up there, its whether Biden can make up the difference from Philadelphia and Pittsburgh, who always vote Democrat. Its going to be close.

Watching the bookies odds is interesting .... lots of fluctuations throughout the morning . Biden currently 1/4 odds on . Although Nigel Fartage has bet £10,000 on a Trump win . It was pretty obvious that Trump thought he’d lost or knew he was gonna lose when he said what he said earlier . Setting the narrative ( which he’s been setting up for months) there’s fraud with the Mail in votes . Totally and utterly without any evidence whatsoever. Fingers crossed 🤞 Now 1/5 ...... looking good .

IMO Nevada is the crucial state. Going by trends, the size of the Trump vote in Pennsylvania and the fact that they’re now counting the democrat dominated postal votes, looks like Biden is on course to win Wisconsin and Michigan whilst Trump will win Pennsylvania. Nevada will be the state worrying the Democrats as it’s the closest of all and the vote for Trump is trending up there. The Republicans win that and it turns the whole election on its head.

It's not about the Candidates for me what I'm interested in is how a potential majority of voters (tens of millions)can vote for a misogynist, bully and self centred individual who uses the Office of President as a platform to enrich himself and stroke his ego. What is wrong with American Society? I think messaging is always key. Sadly, for several years, the left, pretty much the world over, has lost the ability to put forward prospective policy but rather relies on the campaign strategy of telling people off - a classic example on Radio Bristol this morning; one Republican voter living in Somerset, one Democrat in Bristol - the Republican put forward her view of Trump's last term couched in a fairly neutral way and when asked if there was a middle ground, the Democrat lady simply responded by admonishing the Republican for being a white woman of privilege and, as I understand it, thinking things. Now, whatever your position on either of those perspectives is surely anyone would rather hear what your side stands for rather than simply what you're against. Thankfully Keir Starmer seems to be a little above this sort of thing and is a bit more positive - other seniors in his shadow cabinet less so (Angela Rayner for example). But really left wing politics needs to learn - the way to change a person's mind is not to just hector them. Otherwise you get this sort of thing. Opinion polls show massive left gains, then when people get in the voting booth, where they can't be told off anymore, do they say what they really think. I don't disagree with some of your post however,I would hardly call the Democrats left wing more centralists I suppose though the the US as a whole is much more to the right and see a communist around every rock.

What is wrong with American Society? Agreed, careful though as there are some parallels here. In some respects but nowhere near the extremes we see from Trump.

So the fact trump openly said he's trying to hamper the USPS ability to receive mail ballots in August, but then claim fraud on the day of the election is just 'banter'.
Politics is in the gutter isn't it.

"During his second term in 1987, Reagan stated that he would start a "movement" to repeal the 22nd amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which limits presidents to two terms in office - a movement Trump could try to revive. Trump, for example, has expressed admiration for China's Xi Jinping, who abolished term limits to become "president for life." True, Trump did reject the suggestion that he might abolish the U.S. term limit - but will he keep his word?" www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/opinion/campaign/444394-donald-trump-president-for-life-we-need-term-limits-now%3famp

"Joe Biden has become the presidential candidate to receive the most votes in a US election in history – with many ballots yet to be counted. His current tally of 69,759,833 surpasses the 69,498,516 amassed by Barack Obama in 2008, the previous record. The total is already more than 3.9 million higher than the number of votes secured by Hillary Clinton in 2016 when she won the popular vote but lost the presidency to Donald Trump. Trump’s total so far – 67,160,663 – is also more than he polled in 2016, and more than Obama polled in 2012. It places Trump third on the all-time list. It is an indication of how high turn-out has been, with more than 100m Americans casting their ballots early. Despite Biden’s achievement, the election remains too close to call due to the electoral college system. Both campaigns say they believe that their candidate will ultimately end up in the White House." www.theguardian.com/us-news/live/2020/nov/04/us-election-2020-votes-live-updates-donald-trump-joe-biden-latest-presidential-news-updates?page=with:block-5fa2d5ea8f08f1bf4842ce23#block-5fa2d5ea8f08f1bf4842ce23
