Only one team trying to play football.
Only disappointment is the lack of chances created, midfield very wasteful.
Anssi has had nothing to do, so why so many are saying Northampton the better team and likely to score is beyond me.
The worry is that if we don't create more, Northampton will at some stage have a chance and knowing our luck will take it and the 3 points.

Craig, Meneyese, Ogogo, Sercombe and even Nichols would walk into this team and instantly improve it.
Perhaps they might not be better players than what we have now but all were tougher mentally and knew what they were meant to be doing on the pitch.

Northampton seem to me to be the team building play up to take a chance. All we seem to have is counter attack football. We are at home to a team who is expected to be at the bottom end of the table. We are supposed to have recruited well in the summer. What’s going on? What happened to Garner ball? Where’s the exciting attacking football. Sorry, I don’t see it. |

A better performance most of them have been ok and we have played higher up the pitch and created a few half chances , small steps but we definitely have more balance with two up front I think Daley is going to be a very good player for us.
Negatives are we still look a bit shakey at the back which isn’t helped by having the pedestrian ball watching Grant in front of them, dreadful player for us so far this season it’s like playing with 10 men.
Ogogo must be wondering what the hell hes done wrong.
Got to win this one they are there for the taking

I would take our new players performances with a pinch of salt. Some of the players who are having poor seasons this year and under BG were fantastic a year ago under GC. I’d like to see them under a different manager before writing them off. Like who? Who is left from GC’s side out there today? I didn’t see the team sheet but I’m wracking my brains as to who is still still here from GC’s days and outfield I can only come up with Kilgour, Leahy, Little and Rodman (but they are both injured). He’s purged most of GC’s players and replaced them with crap by the sound of it. |

Thought Tutonda and Daly looked good during the first half. Tutonda not afraid to get the ball down and run with it. Daly looking to run with the ball as well.

Hanlan and Daly look good but the service to them is so so poor. Our midfield seems to either foul or pass it to the Northampton GK. Shocking. Our Midfield is water poor. Even Westbrooke is starting to frustrate me despite his undoubted talent/potential. A lot of misplaced passes from Westbrooke today. The other midfielders are always looking to pass to him as if he's the only one that create something. Once we start getting forward they don't have any ideas. |

Not as bad as some of you lot are making out.
Hare has been disappointing and I agree with Hugo that Upson can do a better job than Grant but otherwise I think most players have given a decent performance.
Yes it's been scrappy at times but Northampton are there for the taking.

I was expecting to see us have more time on the ball today and hopefully see a little bit of the football we’ve been told is the new rovers way. Well seems like a poor version of GC style so far. Hopefully second half will give us something to get excited about.
