I agree, but let's hope Ben doesn't need to explain a 7-2 defeat too often though. I wouldn’t begrudge him a 7-2 loss if he could see equivalent success for us! Especially if that defeat comes after that success.

Had we been any good we could have been above all 3 Yes that always made me smile when we are going for promotion but not expected to beat the good teams It is not that simplistic to think that if we are going for promotion then we should expect to beat the good teams. There are circumstances being missed. We are a new side. Time and patience is needed first for the team to click together. During this period, it would be realistic to expect to lose games, especially against well run teams who you would be expecting to be challenging at the top end of the table. If time and patience is allowed to BG and the team to click together, I believe results will improve to the extent where we would hopefully be competing at the right end of the table among the teams we expect to see challenging.
So yes, the aim is promotion for BG and the team but for the chance for this to happen, BG and the team need time to get going and during that time, we would be realistic to expect to lose/struggle but then once things click, we would start improving our league position while beating the good teams. Basically, allowing time will mean we will be playing catch up but hopefully good things come to those who wait!
Just my opinion of course. Some will think BG and his style will not work so not prepared to give time. Some will think if time and patience is given to BG that his style will work. That is the real issue here. No matter what side we all sit on, we all want what is best for Rovers. We just got different opinions on what the best is.
