Burton have 3 players on yellows already. Another red card incoming..? Am I right in thinking we’ve never won under BG without a penalty or red card to the opposition? Are we back to penalties not counting then? |

Poor first half. All the pre-match buzz has definitely gone. We’re playing right into Burtons hands for slowing the game down and just lumping it forward.
We seem to do some nice passing moves at the back, which is all well and good if you’re drawing Burton onto you, before hitting them as you drive forward - but we just pass it about at the back and then lump it up to Hanlan to chase when most of the time it goes straight to a Burton player.
Not really sure what the tactics are, but Garner needs to give them a rocket at half time.

We need to up our game in the second half, or get Nicholson on if we can't, as we're putting Burton under zero pressure.

The issue is that it indicates an issue in creating chances if you rely on penalties so much to win games- the question is can you score when you don’t get the penalties? On today’s evidence so far you can see why some might be concerned about the “we only win with penalties” statistic. |

Only 4 goals in the L1 3pm kick offs so far.
Burton have done their homework on us so far. I have yet to see Ben make a halftime game changer yet. Today is his chance!

Most teams won’t be bothered if the opposition is passing it about amongst their back 4, some might even get a buzz out of the lack of ideas on display. |

Burton look very beatable but our passing needs to be much quicker & the CBs need to be braver on the ball.
Confident we can nick it in the 2nd half with Oztumer, Nicholson & JML on the bench.

Burton are playing exactly like a team who lost their previous match 2-0. It's up to us to take the game to them especially at home

Where as the last couple of games we’ve passed it about at the back then gone wide to Hare or Tutonda we seem to be playing through more central today which so far it’s fair to say hasn’t worked.
Got to get it wider and probably bring Otzumer on in the middle behind the front two.
Burton there for the taking but only if we up the Tempo and look to spread it wide more.
