Too true, Clarke out, he should have been on the line to clear the two goals, he is to blame for this, he is also to blame for keeping the club in the play offs until today, let's sack him and have a total rebuild of the playing staff, after all he has been in charge for 3 months now. Oh and let's not forget that relegation to the bananarama league was all clarkes fault as well, absolutely nothing to do with running the club like a pub team. Have you forgotten, this is the clueless idiot that took us down? Or has that fact been conveniently forgotten? He was at the helm for what, half a dozen games at the end of last season? I haven't forgotten I just don't believe he is to blame for relegation, are you going to blame him for knocking on the door of non league since Higgs became chairman? Why aren't you digging a bit deeper and considering the position of a chairman who has overseen the most calamitous period in the clubs history of all time? Quite an achievement given the club has been going since 1883. If I was to agree with you then it's supporting the Chairman who has systematically failed the club, consistently repeating the same mistakes that has now turned what was once a proud club into a pub team. Sorry it doesn't follow your train of thought but IMO all the clubs failings run much deeper than a young manager who was handed a poisoned chalice towards the end of last season and has somehow managed to engineer a situation where the team is looking likely to be play off contenders.

2 wins in the last 10 league games is, sadly, not even Play Off forum. Apart from a one month blip DC been useless since he took over from JW.
If we fail to beat Barnet on Tuesday I'd hand DC is P45 on Wednesday morning as we will have lost any chance of winning the Championship.
DC proved what a clown is by going public on Easter when it was clear we had no chance of Millwall letting join us seeing as he played for them today.

Disappointing to lose a two goal lead but we played well today. Blisset and Taylor could be a good combination as they pulled Chester all over the place.
Chester though we're probably one of the best sides I've seen this season. Played it on the ground and looked useful. Remember they had won there last 4 at home and unbeaten in 6.
Need Trotman back McCrystal is to slow, shame Turley was an injury case, because somebody with a little speed in the middle would make heck of a difference. Sinclair his usual excellent self. Lockyer sound but wish he could learn to pass, plus gets a nosebleed if over the halfway line.
Della Verde sub was a little strange, but panic defence was the reason we let in two.
All in all a great game and good advert for the conference. We will be there or there abouts at the end of the season

I've been disappointed with performances of late but wouldn't want to sack Clarke as he is doing an alright job overall.

I read this forum and give up. To many armchair supporters who like to criticise. Get out there and support them!

DC starting to get a bit bolshy in interviews.
Remember what we as fans have been through, please.

I read this forum and give up. To many armchair supporters who like to criticise. Get out there and support them! I can't help being an armchair supporter because I live in the USA but there are other ways to support the club than purely going to games and one of them is to stimulate debate about how we can improve the club. When fans criticise Darrell Clarke they might be doing it because they want what is best for the club and genuinely believe he is making too many mistakes. Blindly agreeing with everything he says and does won't necessarily help Rovers and make him a better manager but constructive criticism might. My form on this subject goes back to the Buckle days and anyone who read the AF then will know my slogan is "manage the manager". Listening to Darrell's interview today you could tell he was extremely tense and anxiously waiting for an opportunity to snarl back at fans who criticise him. It should not be like this but his inexperience is showing through and he needs help in this area. The recent confrontations with fans, the harping back to incidents at the training ground months ago and the building up of false hopes about Easter are all signs that he is feeling insecure and doesn't know how to handle it. My personal gripe is that he calls us "punters" which is another example of his not knowing how to gain the respect of football fans through effective communication. Our Directors are all experienced business men used to dealing with people and possessing the wisdom which comes with age. One of them needs to put a hand on Darrell's shoulder and be there for him to guide him through the minefield of media relations which will help make him a better manager. We are only two defeats away from a mid table position and the devastating backlash that would cause. Better to act now rather than leave it too late.

DC starting to get a bit bolshy in interviews. Remember what we as fans have been through, please. We are all (Players, Manager, Board and Fans) in this together and everyone should remember the fact it is only November and there are a lot of points still to play for! Those who think criticism is a positive should think again because that rarely works in anything. On the pitch I do still think that we need a couple of players for the squad, a quick central defender and a midfielder who can drive forward and create.I did fear that at this stage we wouldn't be this high so we are still moving in the right direction!

Whether our directors have the skills required is debatable but some guidance from an experienced manager would be helpful, not John Ward though. For what it's worth I think DC is doing a reasonable job so far but his inexperience does show at times.

I believe Chester couldn't believe their luck when Della-Verde was taken off. Never do this unless you are forced to. So basically you're saying top managers who have taken star players off after being 2-0 up all go it wrong? I've seen the likes of Sir Alex, Mourinho, Ancelotti etc they eve all done it over the years and I guess everyone of them was a mistake? No, but to do it moments after you score the second stank of him thinking the job was done.

TWO points off 2nd and you want the manager sacked if we don't beat top of the league? Be careful what you wish for...
****ing hell...

I was there - and I can assure you that things were pretty bad. No shots on target in the first half. A good first 15-20 minutes of the second half. We then thought we'd done enough and let them back in. Their first goal was an injustice, but the momentum switched to them. For me only Sinclair and Blissett came out on the credit side - Especially Sinclair. Mildenhall could not be blamed for either of the 2 goals. Chester were ordinary - the type of team that we must beat if we are going to be promoted. After today, I think that we will really struggle to make the play-offs.

Just listened to DCs post match interview. No mention of sub decisions so still a bit baffled but thought he spoke ok to be fair. Anyone know if LDV not fit as is a bit baffling and can't help feeling there is more too it than just thinking we'd got Chester licked. Starts at 23:19: www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02bq9ff

I was at the same match and totally disagree. Play like that most weeks and we will win more than we lose We've won twice as many as we've lost already playing usually pretty badly anyway. Didn't go today but it sounds like we played better than the normal of late. The way I see it is we're not good enough to win the league but we're very hard to beat and will probably finish somewhere between 2nd and 5th. I can see us winning the play offs 1-0 on agg then the final going to penalties. f**k me imagine the pressure !!!
