You know at this point I’m almost hoping for a hard Brexit to reveal what a catastrophic decision leaving the European Union was to the economy and people’s livelihoods. Maybe then some people might wake and realise that the red tops feed them lies and votes for populism and Tory governments lead to nothing but misery and despair. Exactly this. I’m resigned to the fact that it’s going to be even worse an idea than it was originally and I’m going to take a perverse pleasure out of watching the people who voted for it sink under all the sh** it’s going to bring them after the complete lack of humility they have displayed since the vote. I have a feeling in five years time all the cries of “leave means leave!” And “sovereigntyyyyyyy” will have faded away to be replaced by the wailing and gnashing of teeth of people struggling in a post covid and Brexit world and we’ll all marvel at how 52% voted yes because everyone you speak to will be claiming to have voted remain. “Err...umm...not me mate, no, I voted remain, I’m not an idiot! Errrr....” |

Errrr....” The funny thing is here is that if you vote leave and want no deal, you're doing whats right by your country and you're nationalistic. If you vote remain and you say 'f*ck it, I hope we leave with no deal' - you're wanting whats bad for your country and you're not nationalistic enough. Make sense of that one. |

Without wanting to go into the so called 'whataboutery', but your last line just invites it. Boris is a known racist homophobe, you are aware? As for Corbyn, it'll be interesting to see what happens here. We'll have to wait until the outcome, but it doesn't look good on him, it's terrible leadership. Reading BBC, "But Mr Corbyn later said the scale of anti-Semitism within Labour had been "dramatically overstated" by opponents. A Labour spokesman said he was being suspended "for a failure to retract" his words" - Link: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-54730425Without reading the report, it sounds to me like they don't have too much on him about directly being anti-semitic, rather failing to take action. Although it begs the question that are you pat of the crime if you're aware of it and do nothing about it? I'd say so. Good on Starmer though, no prisoners.
