Yep...drinking, gambling, fights, cheating on partners, parking Bentley in disabled parking and racial abuse (albeit it the court held racial words not intended to be racist?) - sorry I could not support that type of person. I can own up to four of those crimes and misdemeanours in my life. Can anyone surpass that? Don’t need to have driven a Bentley, any car will do When can you start? 😂

A masked Gary Monk seen at the mem. Source? Can see Wael liking Monks ...he likes clubs to operate with a vision and culture, meticulous planner and communicator and gives weight to playing with heart. Might not be everyone's cup of tea but if he could be convinced there is a plan then I think it's a possibility. Has played under some great managers and knows all the leagues. Does like to deal with own recruitment so Tommy W might not be keen.

Just listened to the EFL podcast with Paul Tisdale, Years ago I would have loved him as our manager then last season at MK Dons made me think like alot of fans have said “his record in league one” wasn’t great but even though he isn’t my first choice after listening to the interview after a gashead just posted it on Twitter has made me change my mind from “no way” to “maybe we could be the ideal match” Interesting on how he got Ollie Watkins to start believing in himself and also does sound like he wanted to be loyal to the players that got him promoted at MK Dons when maybe they weren’t good enough for League One and people might say it excuses but does seem like he had an Injury crisis with his 2 new striker signings (Healy and Mason) getting injured at the start of the season and the back up striker then also getting injured caused them to struggle as he states that the most important thing for any teams is the guys at the top end of the pitch. Give it a listen guys, Like I said he is not first choice but if he was one of the people who the board were looking at I would feel more confident now than I did before listening to the podcast. Part 1
Part 2Shared this a while ago on here, I would recommend 👍

Having looked at his record in League 1 with Exeter their first season in league 1 they finished 18th, second season was thier joint ever highest league finnish in their history in 8th position and missed out on the play-offs by 2 points and then the follow season they got relegated. Like I said I never knew quite how bad the injury crisis hit at MK Dons before his sacking and I know thats not an excuse but to lose your 2 new striker signings with Healy proving there that he was a good signing and Mason’s record not bad what ever club he has been at would have been a struggle. I don’t really buy into the motion about managers records at previous clubs, If that was the case Buckle and Atkins would have got us promoted while Gerry Francis would have seen us relegated. Sometimes it just the simple fact that a manager and club join together and it just clicks into place, probably why any appointment is a always a risk and all you can do is carry out the interview process and hope that the person you feel is the best person does turn out to be sucessful. I've really come around to the idea that Tisdale would be the right man at the right time for the club and his previous experiences would hold him in good stead for the challenge here. Glad you can have round to my thinking Pirate 😉 There are going to be question marks over any new manager but he seems to fit Wael's vision most, has experience and the most realistic option.

It’s a big no from me, half the challenge is a man that fits at the club. I don’t think Tisdale fits here and also I don’t rate him anyway I think he fits perfectly. We are seemingly trying to develop young players and his success in that respect is impressive indeed. Plus he has 4 promotions with Team Bath, 2 promotions with Exeter and 1 with MK Dons on his C.V. Tisdale would want a wider managerial role than just coaching and first team management and that might to painful for the toes of Martin S. and Tommy W.

I wouldn’t want Terry though just because he’d probably be another Garner. We need a manager with experience of this level not a recently retired international.

I think he's the right fit for Wael and the way he wants to do things but maybe not the right fit for the fans.

Sounds a bit like old Bert Tann...and that's no bad thing.

IMO Wael is going to be very cautious this time around and I think it could take around 2 weeks to find their man.
Just depends who applies for the role as I donth think we go chasing manager. As I read the last application process it was only managers who had applied for the position

Either A player who has recently hung up their boots but has some coaching experience. They would have played a fair few seasons at league one level . Ideally they would also have experience of a higher level of football as well. Or A manager who has previous success and has league one experience in recent years. Or A coach /assist manager from a higher league who has league one experience as a player or coach and is ready to step up to management.
For all of the choices. They will hopefully understand what's needed to grind out results when you are playing bad and be attractive to watch when playing well. Understand the wael plan for sustainability.

Bit of digging around on the managers mentioned on social media and collated a table if anyone was interested Manager | Matches | W | D | L | Win Rate | Ben Garner | 32 | 6 | 8 | 18 | 19% | Danny Cowley | 268 | 132 | 67 | 69 | 49% | Graham Alexander | 363 | 161 | 88 | 114 | 44% | Michael Flynn | 197 | 86 | 44 | 67 | 44% | Paul Cook | 583 | 253 | 151 | 179 | 43% | Garry Monk | 273 | 105 | 65 | 103 | 38% | Paul Tisdale | 584 | 220 | 135 | 229 | 38% | Steve Cotterill | 433 | 159 | 117 | 157 | 37% | Gary Bowyer | 352 | 125 | 110 | 117 | 36% | Sol Campbell | 53 | 13 | 15 | 25 | 25% |
Very high level here so take into consideration I have not included the leagues or opponents in the cup etc My thinking was based on what the managers achieved over their matches with what ever players they had in their squads and against what ever opponents they came up against in any competition.

Lee Bowyer?! Why on earth would he leave Charlton to join us?! (not a dig at you by the way, just those apparently suggesting him?!) Back to the stats.... how on earth will we ever improve on Garner.... Garner's stats make the rest of them look like Guardiola!

I think Sol Campbell did well considering, as he faced a lot of financial hurdles at Macclesfield and Southend
